Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq 18-inch tall, white LED, 360 degree all-around boat navigation pole light. Now this is a 360 degree LED pole light that makes your boat more visible when you're traveling at night. Now the all-around navigation lights will project a nice white light all around the boat 360 degrees. And I did wanna demonstrate that. I have this hooked up to some 12 volt power.

So if we go ahead and turn on that light, you can see how bright it is. And I just wanna go and turn off the overhead lights and just show you, it gives you a complete, I can even turn this and you can see it still gives a 360 degree range of lighting. Turn back on our overhead lights. Now this must be displayed at night and in periods of poor visibility on your boat, like it fog or heavy rain. And also what's nice about this, it has a hinged pole design, so it'll let you easily tilt and adjust the light as needed.

Basically right down here at the bottom on the base, if you loosen this knob enough, it'll loosen the pole, and you can see that you can put it in whatever angle you need for your application. Once you find the correct angle, just go ahead and tighten that knob down and it'll hold it in place. And also, if you notice at the very top here, that does tilt also slightly both ways. Now, it does use a single premium LED, which is energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant. And it meets every all-around light specifications.

In this case, the range is two nautical miles on this bright light. It is a sealed waterproof unit. Includes a durable polycarbonate housing and a UV resistant lens. Does use military grade construction of the circuit board, and the urethane potting offers better protection than the common epoxy potting. Now I do wanna go ahead and turn off our power.

The pole itself is an aluminum construction. It is 12 volt DC compatible. It is a surface mount installation. If you look on the base, it has a base with two holes that you use screws on to attach it. Now the hardware to install this is not included. You would've to supply that. And it is designed to hard wire to your application. Does give you two wires, a black and a white wire. You can see the wire length is about 12 inches. A few dimensions on the pole itself, total length, 18 inches long, three quarter inch diameter. Now this light also comes in different lengths or different heights. This one is 18 inches, but you can get 'em anywhere from 12 inches all the way up to 48 inches. We do sell those separate on our website. And the last dimension I wanna give you is on the base itself. If we measure the base, you are looking at two and a half inches by one and a quarter inches. And the distance between the two mounting holes center to center is one and three quarter inches.
