Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Dragon Waterproof Ultraviolet LED Boat Accent Light. Now, this LED light will provide a nice bright ultraviolet light for your boat. It's great for upgrading or replacing accent lighting, step lighting, walkway, or even underwater lighting. It is in a nice sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, has an IP68 rating. They do use military grade construction of the circuit board on this light.

Uses urethane potting right here in the back, for better protection than your common epoxy potting, and it uses premium LEDs, which are energy efficient, long-lasting, and vibration resistant. These LEDs are rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. This light is in a nice durable polycarbonate housing with a UV resistant lens. The clear lens is over four ultraviolet LEDs. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems, and this is a surface mount design light.

The hardware to install this is not included, it does require two screws, and it does mount using a protective horizontal or vertical mounting cover that we do sell separately on our website, and they're listed on this product page as a related product. Now, if it's mounted in the horizontal position with the horizontal cover like this, it'll emit a 60 degree beam. If it's mounted in the vertical position with the vertical cover, then it emits a 40 degree beam. Now, this does hard-wire to your application, has two wires, a power and a ground, and the wire length is about 36 inches. I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power to show you how bright the light is and the color.

First thing I wanna do is give you the dimension on the light itself. Width of it is 1 1/8 inches, height of it is 3/8 of an inch, and the total depth is a half an inch. Light output on this is 32 lumens, input voltage 9 volts to 14 volts, and the power draw is 0.03 to 0.05 amps. So what we're gonna do now, let me just attach the ground and the power wire, and we got those all lit up. After we attach, we'll turn the power on, and now you'll see the ultraviolet light that it gives off.

Go ahead and turn off the overhead light, and you can see the bright ultraviolet LEDs lighting up. I do even wanna show you from a distance how bright it is. Then we'll zoom back in, and we'll go ahead and turn back on the overhead lights, and turn off our power.
