Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the CIPA Hotspot mirror. This helps to give you a wide field view so you can see what's going on behind you and making changes to or change lanes safely. See if there's anybody in your blind spot and be able to know what's going on at all times.This can be utilized for a lot of different applications, whether that's for your towing vehicle or maybe for a work van or work truck. So you can put it on the back and see what's going on and eliminate those blind spots. You could even use this in a workspace, maybe for some blind corners, so you can make sure that nobody's going to be crashing into each other as they're going around that turn. So can be used just about anywhere you want it to be.It's going to feature this nice convex lens for the mirrors that gives you a wide field of view.
It does distort this perspective because it is like a bubble, so it does make things look a little bit weird but it does give you that nice wide field of view so you can see a lot of the area around. It does come with a little L bracket at the back to help mount it up in place. It does not come with any hardware to mount that bracket so you will have to provide that on your own, but you can get a pretty good view of my studio here with this nice wide mirror. Definitely shows a lot of what's going on and makes the room looking a lot bigger than it really is.The back again, we have that little L bracket and it looks like it's sitting on a ball joint, but whenever I was fiddling around with this, even if you loosen up this bolt, you can swing the bracket around but I couldn't get this ball joint to move. It could just be seized up, maybe if you put a little lubricant on there, it would move around but from right out of the box, it just doesn't seem to want to move.
So I can't really say that that has a lot of adjustment there. It should move, but you might have to coax it into doing that.Overall, it's about 8 1/2" in diameter. The depth of the mirror itself, for the housing is about an inch and three quarters. If we include the bracket in there, it's about 3 1/4" deep. It does have a limited one-year warranty and has a black plastic or really a black metallic housing.
It is made out of safety glass, so it shouldn't have any issues with it.If it does happen to come into contact with something and it breaks, it shouldn't let any shards go off. It should just hairline fracture and be relatively safe to deal with. But that's going to do it for our look at the CIPA Hotspot mirror. Very good rectangular mirrors for my van.
Easy to install on existent mirrors.
When first installed, one fell off. Fortunately, it was in the parking lot. Reinstalled it and it’s still fine after a year.
You can see the edge of the glass very slightly. Not really a problem.
I would recommend this product.

Product delivered fast and exactly as promised. Is going to work perfectly on my Jeep Wrangler to "keep it legal." Because I'm able to bolt this to one of my door hinges, there is no need for additional mounting hardware on the body of the jeep that some mirrors require.

Mirror surface is very good quality and image is clear and easy to spot cars in blind spots. Installed on right mirror on 40’ motor home which had good mirrors but I was always concerned of car right on front right tire area. This 100% will show me if anyone is there. Very quick shipping. I purchased this set of mirrors due to the pathetic factory mirrors provided with modern pickup trucks, and the very limited field of view they provide. I found backing up while towing a boat or other trailer in close quarters time consuming and sometimes dangerous. These additional mirrors improve my field of view while backing and also making lane changes on busy highways much safer.

Purchased these mirrors and the brake controller for an upcoming road trip where we are renting a travel trailer equipped with electric brakes vs. the hydraulic surge brakes on the boat we usually tow. The website and checkout were easy, and the products seem to be high quality for their price. George had to call around to find the correct brake controller and harness for my older rig, but he kept me updated along the way and they arrived on time. (I was hesitant to enter so much contact info during checkout, but I am glad I did. So far, no spam that I wasn't already getting.) Not at all the kind of service I was expecting from an online retailer! I will be back this winter when it is time to upgrade the lights and brakes on my boat trailer. Service and products make it totally worth it to stay away from amazon or ebay.

Exactly what I was looking for! I was trying to replace the passenger side mirror I use when towing my 5th wheel. It's on a bracket the mounts between the upper and lower arm of the Ford F-250 and slide with the factory mirror when it extends. Total replacement time was 10 minutes......including looking the the screwdriver.

I bought 2 of these mirrors for my Club Car golf car. I mounted them on the front uprights on either side of the windshield. I have the 5 angle rearview mirror already but these allow me a wide side view down lower.
Great looking mirrors and good sturdy construction, and a great price.

These were purchased to replace mirrors that were sent week before that were plastic and had weak ball joint . This set of mirrors are much better construction and the ball joint much stronger to hold mirror in place.
etrailer sent these replacement mirrors at no additional cost and that to me means they stand behind the customers .
I am using these on a three wheel cycle car and these mirrors avoid blindspots that give more confidence driving cycle car

I've ordered these before (for my Jeep). This set is going on my son's Jeep. They work great with the Rugged Ridge mirror arms. Moving to these convex mirrors eliminates all blind spots and also allows you to see your ear tire (important if you rock crawl).

I am little disappointed, first of all theses mirrors are made in Taiwan, and now I have to go to a auto part store and buy the hardware to mount them. for that amount of money should have been made in USA and come with mounting hardware
