Today we're going to be taking a look at the Feedback Sports Expedition Scale. Now, this scale is specifically engineered for weighing backpacks, luggage, and any other outdoor or sports equipment. One of the things I really like about it is when you look at it, you kind of think that this piece here is on spring system, it's not. It actually features an internal sensor that's going to allow you to get the correct weight. It's going to be accurate plus or minus 20 grams, which is a very accurate reading. It easily hangs from an anchor point, it's got the built-in strap up there, and it's going to feature a vinyl-coated hook. That way it doesn't damage, scratch, or mark up any of the gear that you're hanging from the scale.
So that vinyl-coat hook's a really neat feature to have. Now, again, it's going to feature that nice internal sensor that sends a signal to the LCD display for easy visibility. Around the housing, it's going to feature a nice, rugged, shock-resistant design. That's going to hold up well in any tool box, makes the scale very easy to handle, it's green in color, makes it very durable so if you bump it against something or drop it against something, that rugged exterior housing kind of takes the brunt of the shock or the impact. So, that's a nice feature to have, as well. Now, this is going to read in pounds, kilograms, and ounces. Again, it measures in precise 20 gram increments, features the easy-to-read LCD display.
The buttons on it, we have on and off, zero, which is a zero function, zeroes out the measurement at any time, and then we have a mode button which allows us to change in between pounds, kilograms, and ounces. It also features an auto shutoff that's designed to save power, so if it's not being used for a certain length of time, I think it's around three minutes, it will shut off automatically, which will save power. It does come with four triple A batteries. That's what powers the unit. Directly on the back side is the battery compartment.
So, four triple A batteries are included. Maximum capacity for this scale is 110 pounds. The housing measures about three and five-eighths to three and three-quarters of an inch going that direction, and then about four and a half inches top to bottom, and only about an inch and a half thick. We're going to go and turn it on and then hang a small pack from it. So, if we turn it on, there's the on and off button, then we can change between pounds, ounces, and kilograms so we'll set it on pounds right now. Make sure it's reading all zeroes, then we can take our pack and gently lay it on the hook, and allow it to adjust and give it the reading that we need. Really nice design, and then again at any time we can hit the zero button and zero out the measurement. That's going to do it for the Feedback Sports Expedition scale..
