Hey, everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby. And today we're taking a look at the PTC custom fit engine air filter here on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator. So this is gonna be a very straightforward install to go ahead and make sure that if we are approaching that higher mileage, we're doing a good job making sure our engine is getting fresh air. And of course, if you start to get a lot of debris start building up, well, then our filter just might fail. We definitely don't want that, and this is gonna be a nice way of getting that fresh, clean air to our engine.
It can be really straightforward and it can save you a pretty little penny when you do find yourself at those service stations, getting an oil change. Now, Jeep does go ahead and say about every 30,000 miles or so under normal conditions. Now, if you're in a bit more extreme conditions, maybe about 15 to 10,000 miles, but again, I think a lot of us are going to be pushing that 30,000 mile marker, so let's go ahead and see how we can get that installed. So here we are, have our engine bay open up of course, and right here is going to be our filter housing. So we just need to grab ourselves either a Phillips or a flat head.
I found that the flat head was getting a little bit of a better bite here into our screws. We just simply need to take it and unscrew 'em out. So we are going to have 1, 2, 3, and four bolts. Let's go ahead and remove all those. So with all four of our bolts removed, we can go ahead and just move our housing here.
I like to be careful though, especially as the years started being added on here to our gasket, to our actual engine. And all we really gotta do is lift this up enough to access this filter, a little pry on it and pull it out. Now we can take a look on here on the inside of our older one. So honestly not too bad, all things considered, but definitely can see it starting to get a little bit of dirt and debris there, even on the sides. And yeah, let's go ahead and compare that to our new one.
So you can see pretty stark differences here and there and our nice new clean one. Of course, our older guy there. So, to insert our new one, we simply lift it up. Had it reversed, of course, that can always help. Set it in just like we took it out. Lay her in, and now run our bolts down. Otherwise I think that about does it for our look at the PTC custom fit engine air filter here on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator. I'm Bobby, thank you for watching..

This is the correct filter for my vehicle - exactly what I ordered. Delivery took so long that I started to doubt that the order had gone through. I got tired of waiting and bought one locally and installed it. I’ll use this one in the future so it all worked out.
My package arrived in ok condition! Way to much much room to be shaken and be destroyed. Luckily mine arrived ok. Some of the original packaging was dented and deformed do to over sized box! I got lucky!

Looks like good quality, but the car is new and I haven't installed it yet.
I clearly identified my vehicle as a 2000 Mercedes Benz E320. The air filters (3) which you sent me are the right width, but are an inch too long, and are therefore unusable. They cannot be made to fit in the air cleaner compartment. Not acceptable.
