Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Hose Fixer. Now, this hose fixer can be used to replace a damaged female end on a 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch hose. All you have to do is cut the hose, so you want to remove the old fitting, insert this piece into the hose. Then, what you would do is you would place this clamp around the hose, just like so. The fitting would be inside the hose and this clamp would go around the hose, and then all you have to do is place it in the included hardware and get that all the way tightened down. Now, these are going to use Phillips head screws, so a Phillips head screwdriver will work well. It also has the full length cut through, that way you could us a flat blade screwdriver also.
You want to get that tightened down all the way. That's going to secure the clamp tightly around hose, which is going to ensure that the fitting does not come out. Hardware is included. It's also going to come with the appropriate seal, such as this right here. It's going to come with the appropriate seal for a leak proof performance.
The unit's made from a really nice, durable plastic construction and this end right here is going to be able to rotate. That way you can easily thread it on or thread off to the connection point. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra Hose Fixer.
