Michael: Hey there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Thule replacement Short Standoff Extension. This is going to replace the Short Standoff Extension that came with your Thule Spare Me bike rack. This is an exact replacement from Thule, so you can trust it's going to work with that bike rack. You're not going to have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that.
Our main body here is right at an inch and a half. Then our overall, we count that threaded portion, looking at right at two inches in total length. As I said, you're not going to have to worry. Right part but it was packed loose in the box with another item I ordered. There was alittle rust on the item too. Overall it seemed like it was a used part that was returned then sold to me as new. Part worked but the quality was low.

It sounds like you are looking for the short mounting bracket part # 752-142-5001 which we were told was no longer available in Feb. of 2021 and we sold our last one already. If by some chance you were instead looking for the short standoff extension we do have that with the part # TH852-3482-001.

The Replacement Long Standoff Extension part # 852-3305-001 that you are using now will not allow for the locking handle to engage while using the Replacement Long Mounting Bracket part # 752-1425-002. The bike rack has been on the Jeep for a year now with no issues. Would not have been possible without this part, which fit perfectly. Getting the correct length standoff is key.
