Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the bassinet for your Thule Sleek urban stroller. This is going to allow you to use your Sleek stroller to take your littlest ones along with you. This is designed for your newborns up to six month olds. It's got a weight capacity of 20 pounds, so the way this works, your Thule Sleek stroller comes with a original seat.

This will mount in the exact same place that that original seat does, or it's also going to include hardware so that you can make your Sleek a double stroller. You can use the bassinet with the original seat or depending on the age of your kids, you could also use two bassinets on your Sleek stroller so that you can take the little ones with you.Let's go over a few of the features. Obviously we've got our carrying handle here to lift our little ones up. On the carrying handle, we're going to have a bassinet release button here. That's going to release our arms from the stroller so that we can lift this off, take our little ones elsewhere, tear down the stroller, whatever we need to do.

You can see we've got a nice canopy. This is UV protected so it'll help protect your little ones from the sun and the heat. On the back here, it is mounted on with four snap fasteners, two on the sides right behind the arms, and two on the back. We've also got a zipper here that is going to allow us to open up into our ventilated area. You can see we've got a nice mesh backing there, so that will have lots of airflow to our little ones.

We can simply close that back up and re-zip it.On the front, we've got a sun visor in case we need a little bit extra shade depending on the angle of the sun shining in. This too has a zipper on it so we can remove it if we don't need it. If we do need it, easily zip it on in place. We're also going to have this apron. It too is mounted with our snap fasteners that you can see on the apron.

We're going to have this windshield. This is magnetized so it will stay in place whether we have it opened or closed. If we remove our apron, we can see on the inside of our bassinet we've got this padded lining and a mattress that's going to be ventilated and removable. So, if we need to clean it, we can easily take it out.That ventilated portion, I'm not sure if you'll be able to see it, but on the head here, there's some holes that are in the mattress to make sure that our little one can breathe, so we want to make sure that that is up at the head when we put it in place. To lower our canopy, there's little buttons on the arms here just on the inside. Push those in and it will allow us to lower that down so we can take our little one out, put them in, whatever we need to do. On the bottom, there's this little panel, it's kind of hidden. Got a hook and loop strap that keeps that in place. You can see we've got our mesh netting here, but there's also got holes going into the interior side, so that's going to allow air to flow through again. We've got a hook and loop strap on the bottom so that we can just keep that open or close it back in place.We're going to raise our canopy again to show you the included rain cover. This has a fitted bottom to it, so we'll start at the back and pull it over the top. It's going to keep our little one dry. We're still going to have access to our handle at the top. We also have this little flap that will allow us to get in if we need to. This part is plastic to prevent the rain from getting in, but then we've also got a our mesh netting here that's going to allow air to get into our little one. So, you'll notice a theme here. Our rain cover, our bassinet, the mattress, they're all very breathable. We want to make sure that our kids can get enough oxygen, that they'll be comfortable in there, we don't have to worry about them. So, that is one nice feature of this is that it's got all those breathing features so that a lot of air can flow through.The mattress and the apron, the zip-off cover here on the inside, they're all removable and they are washable. You can machine wash them on a gentle cycle using mild soap. So if it gets kind of messy in there, you can take it out. It's going to be very easy to care for. Our cover and canopy, you can spot clean or hand wash gently with a mild soap and warm water. So, it's all going to be very easy to use. We're not going to have to worry about our little one getting enough oxygen in there. It's very breathable. It's going to be easy clean. As far as our measurements, our internal measurements, we're going to be about 30 inches long, 13 inches wide and right about nine inches deep, so that should be plenty of room for your little one. Our external measurements we're about 32 inches long, 17 and a quarter inches wide. That's with our arms here. And when we have our canopy up, right about 26 inches tall. Now, we can lower our canopy and this can break down to be about seven inches tall. So if we need a little bit more room for storage, we can break it down.You see here, this is our midnight black option.
