Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Rhino-Rack cable core lockdown. Now folks, this is made from a nice steel intertwined cord with a nice plastic sheet on the outside to help prevent against rust, corrosion, that kind of stuff. Now this can be used to stow and secure your gear on your Rhino-Rack platforms. So here's an example on the screen of just a, I believe a Pioneer rack there. And you can put this cable cord potentially through the handle of maybe the jerry can there, maybe around the jack, propane can maybe, something like that, maybe a bag or something, multiple uses.
It does come with a 0.6-meter long cable and all the mounting hardware included. Now folks, this is what they call master key compatible, and specifically this guy is key to 106. You get one key, you get the tool here to fasten the nut and the bolt. You get one vortex nut here. That's if you're gonna use it on the Rhino-Rack vortex blades.
You get their patented Zwifloc channel nut here. And with that nut, you can place it anywhere on the channel of the platform rack without moving the other accessories around and stuff. So you simply drop that into the channel. This guy here goes over the top, then this guy goes over all of that, and then you would put the screw down in here. And what that screw's gonna do is it's actually gonna twist, this Zwifloc nut, and it'll actually lock it in place.
And then whenever you got this, you simply have the key, insert it, you put your cable through whatever you're gonna tie down, and then you run that simply into the lock core right here in the plastic housing. Once you lock it, it's not going nowhere. So it's locked in place, no one can get that off. It's got a steel core here with plastic coat in it. Once you unlock it, then it comes out really simple.
So very simple, nice, easy to use, design. Again, you're getting one key, and include a lock core. This guy is key to 106 specifically. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look at this Rhino-Rack cable core lockdown. I'm Stephen. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
