Today we're going to be taking a look at the Epicord Right Angle Power Cord. This cord allows you to add up to 6 feet of extension to your current cord or it can be used to replace a male end connector. On the one end is going to be the right angle male plug, 3 prong connector. On the other end we're going to have the 3 exposed wires for hardwire applications. Now if you're on the male connector end, it's going to feature reinforced blades. These are going to help prevent accidental bending or breaking and inside the connector is going to be heavy duty strain relief.
What that does is it's a system that protects the electrical connections resulting in a longer cord life so if there's a lot of pull on the cord from the head, that strain relief actually grabs on to the casing of the cord and simply takes much of that force. That way the actual connections are protected and are not strained so that strain release system's going to protect those electrical connections. Again, the overall length from end to end is going to measure 6 feet long, 3 pronged design. We've got a 3 wire design. All these wires are going to be gauge 14. When it comes to the maximum amperage, we're looking at 15 amps.
Voltage is capable of up to 125 volts and the cord is black in color. One of the things I want to be clear on, is on the casing of the cord, it's a nice thick durable casing to protect the wiring. It is going to say SJWT, excuse me, SJTW. That rating is found on many cords that are approved for outdoor use. However, if you pay attention to the sticker right here underneath the head at the male connector, on that bottom line it says that this cord is for indoor use only so don't let that confuse you.
It is for indoor use only according to the sticker located on the cord. Last thing I want to mention is that this cord does have a ETL/US listing. That's going to do it for today's look at the Epicord Right Angle Power Cord.
