Today we're going to be taking a look at the Come Up 1/2 Inch Clevis Hook Part Number CU882024. Here's going to be our 1/2 inch clevis hook out in front of us. It's going to be that G70 forged galvanized steel so it's going to be extra heavy duty for those jobs when you're going to need it the most. It's going to be for up to 1/2 inch cable or synthetic rope, or even chain. With this, it does have that 3/8 pin that's going to go through it. That's anodized to prevent any rust and corrosion as well.

Here we're going to have our heavy duty spring loaded clip, that's going to keep your chain or rope or strap in place. Now we'll go ahead and measure out the mouth, the mouth is going to be about 1 3/8 inches, that way you can know if you can get your big heavy duty rope and straps through there that you're going to need to secure down. The width, we're going to be about 4 7/8 inches from the side here out to the edge. Overall length, we're looking at about 6 1/2 inches. Real heavy duty, and it's also going to have that nice red powder coat on it as well to help prevent any kind of rust and corrosion over time for the hook itself. Now let's go ahead and see how easy it is to install.

Here we're going to have our factory hook that came with our winch. We're going to upgrade that a little bit and put that bigger 1/2 inch clevis hook on there, instead of having that 3/8 inch clevis hook that we have here now. What we're going to do, go ahead and bend the tabs back so we can pull it through. Slide out the center pin and pull it off. We'll go ahead and take that hand saver off too, put on our new one.

Same thing on the new one, bend back the tabs on the clip, pull it out. We'll slide that through, place the clip back in, and we'll bend over the backside. Now with our new hook installed, go ahead and place that hand saver on there so we're ready to head down the road.
