Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com, and today, we're taking a look at Coghlan's Nickel Plated Grommet Kit. If you are looking to replace your old worn out grommets, or you're looking to integrate grommets into your plastic, synthetic, cotton, or leather gear, this might be a good option for you to consider. Let's take a closer look at these grommets. Now, this kit comes with twenty 3/8 of inch grommets, and not only do you get the grommets, but you also get everything that you need to install these, you are going to get a cutting tool, and then you are going to get an insert punch, and also a setting die. And again, these are nickel plated, the grommets are nickel plated, so they are going to be durable and they're going to resist corrosion. Just to install these again, it's really simple, you would just take your material, whether it's leather, cotton, or synthetic fabric, and you would just fold it over creating a hem, and then wherever you would want to punch a hole in that fabric, you would just mark an X or something, just indicating where you want that hole to be punched, and then you would place that material over a wood block, and then take this cutting tool, and you would put it over that mark on that material on top of that wood block, where you would want to punch the hole, and then you would just strike this with a wooden or a plastic mallet, and this tool will make a hole in that material.
Then once you have the hole that you would like, you'll take this part of the grommet, post side up, and you would put it on the base, and then you would place that material with the hole over this post. And then once you have that hole through here, through the post, you would take one of the washers, round side up, and place it over the material and the post, and then you would take the insert punch here, and you would insert that into the hole, and then you would just strike this with a hammer, and just turn it about a quarter in between the strikes, so it is evenly securing that grommet and evenly fastening that. So really, it's a real simple installation, and once you go through that process, you will have successfully mounted that grommet through that hole. Now again, this is a nickel plated set, if you're looking for a plastic set, Coghlan does have you covered, they have a plastic set that is self piercing that comes in a quantity of eight, and you can find them on our website, item number CG96FR. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today at Coghlan's Nickel Plated Grommet kit.
Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..
