Hello, neighbors. Welcome back. I'm Steven with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this custom mounting kit for your Aries ActionTrac motorized running boards. Now, if you're not familiar with what those are, those are sold separately. But basically you open the door of your vehicle, the motorized running board deploys or comes out and down, and when you close the door, it retracts back in for a nice clean hidden view on your factory vehicle.

Now, it is gonna come with these six heavy-duty brackets. They are steel with a nice black powder coat finish. I'll zoom in here and show you that. So again, a nice black powder coat finish. It's gonna last forever as far as the finish, and you don't have to worry about rust, corrosion, that kind of stuff.

Again, you get six of those, and then you're gonna have some LED lights. So if you want the lights to come on as well to shine down, that way you can see where you're stepping and that kind of stuff. It's a nice feature. And then it has what's called split wired harnesses and stuff. And you'll put these guys in where, and then they got double-sided piece on the back.

But those would be in, like, the door panel area where it latches near that. And then you have included magnets that come with the kit. I left them wrapped up 'cause they're pretty powerful. But those magnets, depending on, like, those are gonna be you know, when you open and close the door, what basically makes that finished connection, closes the circuit or whatnot or opens the circuit, depending on if it's open, closed, and operate those running boards. So if you have an aluminum body or aluminum door frame or whatnot, on some of the new vehicles they have that, they do have double-sided adhesive in there.

That way you can attach those that way if they don't stick to the frame. Obviously, you got all your hardware and nuts, lock washers, that kind of stuff. You get six of these other little brackets. You got more wiring harnesses. You've got the main wire harness. You do have to remove some panels per the instructions. Route this up through the door jam and that kind of stuff. You do have to connect the wire to the battery direct to get power. But it also has this control module. It's enclosed, fully enclosed, and a nice heavy-duty plastic. It's gonna be moisture resistant, water resistant, that kind of stuff. It's also made if it jars, bumps, that kind of stuff, from the normal daily road use, it's not gonna impact it at all. It comes with a nice toggle switch as well. So you can manually operate those lights if you want it to. And then some heat shrinks, some protectors, zip ties, wire loom, brackets, lots of different little plastic attachments and safety things, just to keep the wires protected during everyday use and that kind of stuff. So this kit is rated at 650 pounds. That would match up to your Aries ActionTrac running boards as well. Well folks, I know there's a lot of information that I just went over, a lot of gear here on the table that comes with this kit. Honestly though, if you just take your time, the installers that do 'em here, they say it takes them a couple hours. Now obviously, they do it all the time. But if you're someone that's never done this, just follow the instructions. You might have to get some plastic trim removal tools that are sold at maybe another place or something like that to remove some trim panels. But you get those off, you run the wire very carefully. follow the pictures in the instructions, I think you'll do just fine, honestly.
