Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at your best trailer hitch options for your 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. Today we're going to have two different hitches that'll work with your truck. Which one is going to work best for you really depends on one thing, and that's if your truck comes equipped with a factory hitch or not. For your truck does not come equipped with a factory hitch, the hitch that's going to work best for you is this CURT Class 3 right here. Now if your truck already has a factory hitch and you're looking for more weight-carrying capacity, or even just to have two receiver tube openings to use it for different accessories for example, the CURT Class 5 is going to be your best bet.To give you an example today, our customer's truck did not come equipped with a factory hitch, so he used the CURT Class 3. more

Today, on our 2016 GMC Sierra, we're gonna be taking a look at and installing the two inch Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver.All right. The hitch has a black finish and as you can see, it actually blends in really well with the rest of the truck.Now that we have a hitch on the Sierra, we're able to tow things like campers, boats, jet skis, trailers, or we can even use it for things like bike racks or cargo carriers.It's a Class IV hitch. It has a two inch by two inch receiver opening and it has a thick reinforced collar.Now, what kind of separates this hitch from any of the others, this one has an extra hole here and that'll allow us to use a J-Pin. Now the J-Pins are nice because it eliminates any rattle that we may have in our connection point here.The safety chain loops are nice and thick, have a unique shape and are welded to the bottom of the receiver. As you can see there is quite a bit of room here, so you shouldn't have any trouble using just about any size hook you might have.Now, the max towing weight is 900 pounds. So, that's the amount of weight on the receiver here. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Sierra, we're going to take a look at and install the two inch class IV etrailer.com trailer hitch receiver. This is what our hitch looks like installed. It has that nice, matte black finish, and stays relatively hidden for the most part. Now, with our hitch on our truck, it's going to allow us to tow trailers or campers or boats, or even use it for things like bike racks or cargo carriers.Being a class IV hitch, it has a two inch by two inch receiver opening. It has a nice reinforced collar that uses a standard five eighths pin, which can be found on etrailer.com. Our safety chain loops are welded onto the hitch, and there's quite a bit of space, which allows just about any size hook over it. more

Let's go ahead and take a look at the hitch when it's installed in the truck. We'll go ahead and start by the receiver which is a 2 inch opening here. It also has a rounded collar around the front of it to help reinforce the end of the hitch. It also has a rounded finish which makes it look nice. more

Today on the this 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab, we're going to show you part number 14301. This is a Curt class 4 2-inch receiver hitch. All right, so this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed in the truck. Generally, the body of the hitch will fit behind the bumper. It does require the step bumper that's originally installed on the vehicle to be removed, and just a little bit hangs down below the bumper. Now we're going to take a look at the hitch itself. 2-inch receiver hitch, has a nice round collar around the front of it, and there's safety chain loops here as well of course, and this does use a 5/8 hitch pin. Couple other notes about the hitch is that it has a gross trailer weight of 10,000 pounds. more

Today, on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab, we're going to install part number C14006. This is a Curt Class IV 2" Receiver Hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed in a truck. First off, general appearance, you can see that half the hitch body is hidden behind the bumper. This is a square tube construction that's actually curved a little bit to go around a spare tire. It has a built-in collar around it, which actually reinforces the end of the tube. Notice we've got some safety chain loops here. more

Today on the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, we're going to show you part number C13175. This is a Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 2-inch Class III. All right, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed in our truck. You can see about halfway of the body sticks below the bumper here. It does make room for the built-in step bumper hitch, which is hidden behind the bumper. On the outside looking in, we got a 2-inch receiver here with a nice round collar around the opening, that actually reinforces it. more
