Hello neighbors it's Brad here, etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the etrailer hitch receiver on a 2019 Ford Transit Connect. So this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed. And you can see it's got a slightly visible cross too but kind of tapers up. But overall, this is a really clean fit here. You can see the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening is about flush with the fascia. more

But before we do that, why don't we check it out and make sure that this is gonna work for you. So putting a trailer hitch on a Connect makes sense to me, primarily these are work vehicles or you're carrying a few people around and things like that. So having a hitch back here is gonna really open up your opportunities on what you can use your Transit for, whether it be pulling a work trailer around or something along those lines, or even using accessories like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, a bunch of different things you can do with it. So having a hitch back here is gonna allow you to get that job done. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Ford Transit Connect- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over and showing how to install the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver here on a 2018 Ford Transit Connect. So here's what our trailer hitch looks like installed. A couple things to point out. Number one, we have a nice sturdy collar around the receiver tube. We also have a black powder coated finish throughout the hitch which is going to help protect it from rust and corrosion, being that it's on the underside of the vehicle. Something else that Draw-Tite does is they include a welded on trailer connector bracket. more

How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2017 Ford Transit Connect, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver. Since Transit Connect owners typically use their vehicles to do a little bit of everything, whether it be towing or for accessories, since this does have the two inch by two inch opening and is a class three, it's going to work great for either one. I did notice a couple of things right away that separates this one from some of the others. And one of them will be the clearance. The receiver tube here is going to actually sit a little bit out past our bumper, so it is going to work good for those folding accessories, but on the same card, it does hurt the appearance or looks on the same token. more

On our Draw-Tite hitch, we have a plate style safety chain loop setup, which is welded to the bottom of the receiver and the frame of the hitch. They have a fairly large opening. Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Ford Transit Connect- Video
Speaker 1: Today on this 2011 Ford Transit Connect we will be having a look at and showing how to install the CURT Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 13076. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. This hitch sits nice and tight up against the back bumper here, giving us the most amount of ground clearance possible. Welded on the bottom of our receiver we have our rolled steel safety chain loops with a fairly large opening, so we shouldn't have much problem at all hooking on most safety chains from our trailer.On the side of the receiver you'll find the industry-standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of your hitch-mounted accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip on our website as part number PC3 if you need one. Welded onto the back of the receiver is this round collar which helps reinforce the opening and giving it a nice finished look. more

Now this hitch is going to work great for those of you who have a business and need to tow a small trailer. It'll allow you to do that or if you have a passenger version of the Transit Connect and you we're looking for a way to move some cargo around such as your luggage or your bikes. This'll work great for bike racks and cargo carriers as well.Welded onto the bottom of our frame of our hitch and the receiver, we have a plate style safety chain loop which has a large opening so you shouldn't have much problem at all hooking on most safety chains from your trailer to your hitch.On the side of our receiver, you'll find two pinholes. The larger diameter one closest to the front of the vehicle, that's the industry standard, five eighth of an inch diameter hitch pinhole to secure any of your hitch mounted accessories. We've got a plate-style safety chain connection point, nice large openings there, so whatever you want to connect, we shouldn't have any problems. Narrator: Today on this two thousand fourteen Ford Transit Connect, we're going to show you the current class three two inch receiver hitch, part number C one three one six seven. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on the vehicle. On first glance, you'll notice that the whole hitch resides below the bumper, however, it is pretty well recessed behind the bumper as well. Take a look at the two inch receiver right here. It has a nice reinforced collar. It's symmetrical on both sides, has a nice little finish to it. Go underneath here, you can see this plate here for your safety chains. This plate goes underneath your receiver and the body. more
