Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the REDARC Tow-Pro Elite Proportional Brake Controller on a 2022 Chevy Tahoe. If you're used to a traditional brake controller you're probably thinking of hitting your knees on it as you get in, and that's because they mount down generally pretty low. But as new vehicles gonna come out, there's less and less space to mount them up and that's where the Redarc really shines. The small footprint not only looks super clean but it makes it to where you're not really having to cause any issues when you're hopping in and out of your vehicle. more

These are going to be ideal just because we don't have to have anything on the inside of our dash or by our feet when we're driving. It just plugs in and syncs to your phone, so you don't really have to worry about forgetting anything. And it really is just as simple as just plugging it in, downloading an app on your phone and sinking it up.So the Curt Echo is going to be a proportional braking system and basically what that is, the pressure you put on the brake pedal is going to match the pressure back here on your tire. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today in our Chevrolet Tahoe, we're going to review and install the Curt Venturer brake controller part number:C51110. We'll install this in conjunction with Curt Direct Fit wiring harness part number: C51451. Here's what our brake controller will look like once it's installed. Here, at the top of our brake controller, is the gang slide switch. As we slide the switch over toward the passenger side it increases the gang and the maximum power output to our trailer braking. At the very front of our brake controller is our manual braking switch. This allows us to actuate the trailer braking without pressing on the brake peddle. Then, here, on the driver's side of the brake controller, behind the attachment point is our sink switch. This is a slide switch. It adjusts the time delay of maximum power output going to our trailer braking. Quickly. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to review and install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller, part number 90885. We'll install it in conjunction with the Tekonsha direct fit wiring harness, part number 3016. Now here's what our brake controller looks like once it's installed. Now let's go ahead and plug in our trailer brakes. As we plug in our trailer brakes we'll get a C on our display screen to indicate that our trailer braking is connected. Here on the driver side of the brake controller is our gain control, allows us to raise or lower the power or maximum output going to our trailer brakes. Our push button here on the passenger side of the brake controller is for our boost control. more

Male: Today, on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we're going to review and install the Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller, part number 39510 in conjunction with the Tekonsha direct fit wiring harness, part number 3016. Here's what our brake controller look like when it's installed. The dial here on the side of our brake controller allows us to set the angle of our brake controller as long as our dial can be turned and set so that our dial is straight up and down. It'll indicate the position of our brake controller and help set the internal potentiometer. Let's go ahead and plug in our trailer connector. Once we plug it in, here at the top, our light comes on to indicate that our trailer brakes are connected to the vehicle. One the passenger's side of the brake controller is the dial for setting our gain. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to review and install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller, part number 90195 with a direct fit wiring harness. Here's what our brake controller looks like once installed. We can press any button to bring up our LED display screen, and use the up and down functions to scroll through the menu, setting the power setup, color display, or even brake type. Here's what our display screen will look like when we do not have our trailer connected. Let's go ahead and connect our trailer. Immediately with our trailer connected, we can see our display screen will come up. Here we can adjust the gain, which is the amount of power being sent to our trailer brakes from maximum, all the way down to the minimum that we set it at. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we're going to review an install. The Curt Discovery Trailer Brake Controller, part number C51120. We'll install this in conjunction with, the Curt Direct Fit Wiring Harness for brake controllers, part number C51451. Here's what our brake controller's going to look like once it's installed. Located on the driver's side of the brake controller, behind the attachment point is our sync switch. The sync switch sets the time delay. The maximum power is sent to the trailer braking. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today on this 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, we're going to install part number TK90160. This is the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller. To help us with our install, we'll also be using part number 3015-P. This is the Tekonsha Plug-in Wiring Adapter for electric brake controllers. We'll go ahead and hook it up to our trailer and we'll go ahead and try it out. We got a "C" here and that stands for connection, so we know that it sees the trailer, so that's a good sign. more

Trailer Brake Controller Intsallation - 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, we'll be installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part number 90885. The vehicle is already equipped with manufacturer's 7-pole connector, so we'll need to go underneath the dashboard here on the driver's side and locate the brake controller pigtail. This is a 4-wire pigtail, has taped up and marked indicating the wiring. Now we've identified the manufacturer's wiring, we'll need to take the pigtail provided by the brake controller and hardwired to the manufacturer's wiring. I'm going to go ahead and cut the end off and strip back the wire. Now with those stripped back we'll go ahead and take the butt connectors provided by the install kit and secure it to the end. Now with the butt connectors installed, we can go ahead and attach the brake controller wiring. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today on this 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, were going to be installing the Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller part number 90195. The first thing we need to do is find a suitable location for our mounting bracket. You'll want to make sure before you start mounting the bracket to the vehicle, that you check to make sure that there are no electrical components behind where you're going to mount it. Were clear on the back of this plastic tab and theres the metal structure here for our dash that we'll also be drilling in to. This is going to provide a secure mount for our brake controller. Next well use the small machine screws that came with our brake controller with the lock washers on them to mount the controller to the bracket. more
