It's going to be a great way to get all that gear out of your vehicle and up on the roof. That way it gives everybody more leg room on the inside, makes for everybody happier on a trip. So, right away I want to say that it's made out of ABS plastic so it's nice and durable, you can hear it. Even thicker here on the bottom, you can hear kind of a lower toned knock. more

Trunx Roof Box Review - 2013 Volkswagen Jetta- Video

It's going to be a really nice, easy to use cargo box. I like that it's a more cost effective option, if you're looking to get a little bit more protection on top of your roof, versus something like a cargo basket, or a hitch-mounted cargo carrier. But it's going to lack a few features of some of the higher end ones, but I was actually pleasantly surprised when I took this one out. I hit some rain, and didn't have any issues with it.It's pretty easy to install. more

With a Thule Rapid-Reverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box up onto our vehicle's load bars. After positioning the clamps to fit over the bars, we can unlock the box and open the lid, exposing the two closest knobs. We'll turn the knobs to bring the clamps up tightly against the bar. Now this box does only open from one side, so youll need to position it on the passenger side of your vehicle. With the box in position, we can unlock it, and open the lid exposing the four slots in the bottom of the box. We can take the clamps, slide them down through the slots over top of each bar, and tighten down the knob to secure the clamps to the bar. Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2013 Volkswagen Jetta- Video

Today, on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, we will be test fitting the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 rooftop cargo box with 14-cubic-foot capacity. It is part #Y07192. To begin the test fit, we will place the cargo box directly onto our bars, slide back slightly so the clamps will go around the bars. We will then open the passenger side and use the red T-handles to tighten the clamps around the bars. One of the great features of this box is its ability to open from both sides. We will now move to the driver side, open the box, and repeat the same tightening process. With all 4 feet tight, our cargo box is secured to our crossbars and we are ready to go. With our back situated the way we like, we can open the box by removing the key to the unlock position and lifting up on the lid. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System assembled on to our vehicle and our rear antenna removed, well begin our test fit by placing the Thule sonic directly on to our load bars. Just the feet are hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our bars. With our box scooted forward, we do have room for our rear end antenna so well screw that back into place. Well open the passenger side of the box and tighten the 2 hand knobs on this side to tighten our feet around our bars. One of the great features of the Thule sonic is that when your feet are tight enough around the bars, you'll hear a clicking noise. more

SportRack Aero Roof Cargo Box Installation - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta- Video

Alright, today on this 2011 Volkswagen Jetta were going to do a test fit of the SportRack Aero XL Cargo Box, part number A90275. The car has already been equipped with a Thule Roof Rack System with the square load bars. Ok, a couple of quick notes about this cargo carrier is that it is designed to mount between crossbars or between 24 and 34 inches, and the maximum bar diameter will be 4 inches. We'll go ahead and start our test fit by taking the box and putting it on top of the cross rails. We'll take a few seconds to line up the holes and the cargo box to match the crossbars. Now you have a little bit adjustment from front to rear and of course you can move it left to right. more
