Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Installation - 2020 Toyota Highlander- Video
I'm Adam with etrailer. And today we're talking about the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 roof box on top of our 2020 Toyota Highlander. This is a great option for you if you're running outta space in the back of your car and you need to put your items somewhere else, this is a great option for you, especially if you wanna keep 'em out of the elements. The first thing we're gonna take a look at is the inside of the box. So we're gonna have to open it up using our included key and unlocking this. When I push it up, you notice it's a little stiff, but it's gonna be held in place by those hinge locks, and that's gonna allow me to keep it open without using my arms to keep it open. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we we're gonna be talkin' about the Yakima Skybox NX 16 rooftop cargo box on the 2023 Toyota Highlander. Now the Highlander does have a lot of space, especially in the back hatch area over here, but if you fill it up all the way with additional people in that third row, you might be very limited on the space. So if you're hauling any gear or luggage or camping supplies, this roof box is gonna be a great option to keep your items safe, secured, and kind of outta the way so you can fit more people in your vehicle. Now you won't be able to install the the sky box if you don't have a roof rack so always make sure you have a roof rack that is compatible with your roof box. Your sky box is gonna come with two included keys and that'll just be used to access your handle right up here just in that lock core. The nice thing about this roof box is you have two handles on each side so you can access it from either side and, to open it up, you just gotta push and you'll feel it lock in place with these hinge locks on the side. more

You have 16 cubic feet of space, you have a really easy use clamping system, and you have an enclosed safe surface or space for your cargo. I have the box installed on the factory roof rack of your Toyota Highlander, but you could also install this on other roof racks if you need to put those on first. Thule Roof Box Review - 2017 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box here on our 2017 Toyota Highlander. Now, like the name suggests, this box is very large. It's one of the largest ones we offer, giving you 22 cubic feet of capacity. Now, I'll go ahead and open it up here by twisting that gray knob with the key in it and popping the lid open, so you can get a look inside. We've just got a few things in there right now, we've got a tent and we have a pair of skis. Now, like I said, this is a very large box and a very long box, I see this being something for even the longest skis you can find. more

Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2005 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on our 2005 Toyota Highlander, well be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL rooftop cargo box. With 22 cubic feet of storage space and metallic silver, its part number TH636S.With a factory roof rack already installed on a Highlander, well begin our test fit by placing the Sonic XXL directly under our load bars. We have found it to be easiest to line up our feet as we're sliding our box onto the vehicle. With all 4 of our feet around our load bars, well open up the passenger side of the box and tighten the 2 gray handles closest to us until you hear a click. We then move to the driver side, open our cargo box and repeat the same tightening process that we use for the passenger side. As you can see, we do have full access to our rear hatch. With all 4 feet secured, that will complete todays test fit of the Thule Sonic XXL part number TH636S on our 2005 Toyota Highlander. . more

Rhino-Rack Master-Fit Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2005 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on our 2005 Toyota Highlander, well be test fitting the Rhino Rack Master Fit Rooftop Cargo Box. With 14 cubic foot of storage space and silver, its part number RMF400. With the factory roof rack already on our vehicle, well begin the test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. We'll then open the passenger side of our box, place our feet through the bottom of the box around our load bars and tighten them using the gray dial. One of the great features of the Master Fit is its ability to open from the passenger and driver side. Well now move to the driver side, open the box, place the feet to the appropriate slots being sure that they go around our load bars and tighten with the same gray dials. With our box secure, that will complete todays test fit of the Rhino Rack Master Fit Rooftop Cargo Box part number RMF400 on our 2005 Toyota Highlander. . more

Today on our 2005 Toyota Highlander, we'll be test fitting the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box With 16 foot of cubic storage space in matte black, it's part number TH615. With a factory roof rack on our Highlander, we'll begin the test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. The Pulse XL opens from the passenger side, so we'll want to favor it to one side when we install it. We'll now open our cargo box, place our four feet though the appropriate slots, being sure that they go around our load bars. Then we can tighten them using the gray knob. With the factory roof rack already on our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. We have found it easiest at this time to line up our feet. Once we have the cargo box resting on our load bars we'll now open the passenger side of the box, and tighten the 2 grey handles. This will secure our cargo box to this side of our vehicle. Today on our 2005 Toyota Highlander we'll be test fitting the Thule Force XXL rooftop cargo box measuring 21 cubic feet in aeroskin black part number th626. With the factory roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Thule Force directly on to our load bars. Since the feet are already hanging out of the bottom of the box we can adjust them as needed to fit around our bars. Once we have the box situated, we can open the passenger side of the box and tighten the two hand knobs on this side to tighten our feet around our bars. One of the great features of this box is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. We'll move to the driver side, open the box and tighten the two remaining feet using the hand knobs. With everything tight and secure our box is all loaded up. Here at the rear you'll notice that when we open our rear hatch the spoiler makes contact with the rear of our box even with our bar set as far forward as possible. That completes today's test fit of the Thule Force XXL rooftop cargo box, part number th626 on our 2005 Toyota Highlander. more

Once we have it situated the way we prefer, we can then open the cargo box and fit the clamps through the appropriate slots making sure that the feet of our clamps go around our load bars. Then we can use the hand knobs to tighten down each clamp. With all the clamps tight, our box is now secured to our vehicle and were ready to start loading up some gear. One thing to be aware of is that when trying to open our rear hatch it does make contact with the rear of our cargo box. more

We'll position it on to the vehicle as we prefer and then open the passenger side of the cargo box to tighten down the passenger side clamps. We'll use the hand knob inside to tighten each clamp. We'll close the side of the box and then go to the driver side of the vehicle and open the box from this side. more

Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota Highlander, well be test fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 11 Roof-Mounted Cargo Box, part number Y07193. We already have a roof rack installed on our Highlander, so we can mount the box directly to our crossbars. Well take the box and set it up on top of our crossbars. We do want to make sure that we position it evenly from left to right. Then, well fit the clamps around our crossbars and then open each side of the box to tighten the clamps down. Inside, there are two knobs on each clamp, a black knob which when loosen will allow you to slide the clamp assembly from forward to backward and a red knob which will close the clamp around the crossbars. more

Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota Highlander, were going to be test fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 14 Roof-Mounted Cargo Box, part number Y07192. Now, our Highlander is already equipped with a roof rack and were ready to fit the Rocketbox Pro to it. Well take the box and set it up on top of our crossbars. We do want to make sure that its centered from left to right. Well fit the clamps over our crossbars then well open each side of the box to tighten them down. The black knobs on the clamps allow them to slide when loosen, and the red knobs are what will close the claw around the crossbar. more
