Now the Yakima roof box is gonna be a great option for you if you're really want to maximize the amount of stuff that you can carry on the Explorer. Maybe you run outta space in the back because you have a lot of people back there, or you already have a lot of items back there. This is gonna let you store a lot of storage, whether that be luggage or anything longer, like skis. So let's take a close look at it. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the Explorer we're going to begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. We've found this is the best time to get our feet lined up so they'll go around our bars. With all four of our feet around their bars, we'll now take a quick look to be sure we have our box centered. We'll then open the passenger side, reach in and tighten the two AcuTight knobs located closest to us. These knobs are designed to click when we have the proper torque applied. A great feature of the Sonic Large is its ability to open from both the passenger and the driver side. more

We'll then open the passenger side of the box, reach in and tighten the two gray knobs located closest to us. A great feature of the Force XXL is its ability to open from both the passenger and the driver side. With our passenger side secure we'll now make our way around to the driver side, open the box, each in, and tighten the two knobs located on this side. With all four of feet tight we're ready to load this box down with some gear and we can hit the road. more

We'll place one of these foot packs through each of the four slots located in the bottom of our box, being sure that as we do they go around our load bars. With our foot packs secure we're ready to load our cargo box down with some gear and hit the road. As you can see, we do have full access to our rear hatch. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Explorer, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Pulse Large, a rooftop cargo box with 16 cubic feet of storage space in matte black, part number Th615. With our Thule rapid crossroads roof rack system already installed on our Explorer, we're going to begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. This box opens from the passenger side, so we'll want to favor this side as we install it. We'll then open it up, reach in, and we're going to find four foot pads. We'll place one of these four foot pads in each of the slots in the bottom of the box, being sure as we do that they go around our load bar. We'll then begin tightening them down and with all four tight and secure, we're ready to load our box down with some gear and hit the road. As you can see, this box does allow us to fully open our rear hatch. And that will complete today's test fit of the Thule Pulse Large, part number Th615 on our 2014 Ford Explorer. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Explorer were going to be test fitting the Thule Pulse Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, with 14 cubic feet of storage space in matte black, its part number TH614. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the Explorer, well begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. Our box opens from the passenger side only, so well want to be sure to favor this side as we put it on. Well then open the passenger side of the box, reach in, and were going to find 4 foot pegs. Were going to place one of these foot pegs through each of the 4 slots located in the bottom of the box, being sure that they go around our bars as we do. Well then tighten all 4 of them down. With all 4 foot packs secure, were ready to load our cargo box down with some gear and hit the road. As you can see, this cargo box gives us full access to our rear hatch. That will complete todays test fit of the Thule Pulse Medium, part number TH614, on our 2014 Ford Explorer. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Explorer well be test fitting the Rhino Rack Master Fit rooftop cargo box with 14 cubic feet of space, silver in color, part number RMF400. With the Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack system on our vehicle well begin our test fit by placing the cargo box up onto the vehicles load bars. We can then unlock the box and open the lid, exposing the two closest slots on the bottom of the box. We can take the clamps, slide them down through the slots over top of each bar and then turn the knob to tighten down the clamps. We can then move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same process. This double-sided opening lid will also enable you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the vehicle. more

After positioning the clamps to fit over the bars we can unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. We can then turn the knobs and tighten down the clamps up against the bar. We'll then move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same process. This double-sided opening lid will also enable you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side ofthe vehicle. more

To begin our test-fit, well place the RocketBox directly onto the factory installed roof rack. Once we have it on, we can slide it in place to make sure that feet go around our crossbars. Well open the passenger side first and tighten the two hand ons on this side of the box to tighten our clamps around our bars. Well close this side of the box and take advantage of one of the great features of the RocketBox, which is its ability to open it from both sides of the vehicle. Well open the drivers side and tighten down the two remaining clamps. more

With the feet already hangin on the bottom of the box, we'll adjust them as necessary while placing the box on our roof rack to fit around our crossbars. Once we have it where we like, we can then open the passenger side and tighten down the hand knobs to secure our feet around our crossbars. We'll do this for both clamps on the passenger side. One of the great features of this box is its ability to open from both side of the vehicle. more

A couple important things to keep in mind while placing on your roof rack, this is a longer box. If you want to have access to your rear hatch, it would be beneficial to place your box as far forward as possible. Once we have it situated, we can open the box, take our feet and feed them through the appropriate slots making sure that they go around our crossbars. Once we have the feet in place, we can use the hand knobs to tighten them down. more

Once we have it situated the way we prefer, we can then open the box and fit our feet to the appropriate slot. Keep in mind that this box does open from one side so you may want to screw it to one side for ease of access when loadin and unloading your gear. With our feet in place, we'll make away around tightening down each hand knob. With all four clamps tight, our box is secured to our vehicle. more

Thule Force XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2007 Ford Explorer

Today on our 2007 Ford Explorer, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force XXL Rooftop Cargo Box measuring 21 cubic feet in AeroSkin Black part TH626. With the factory roof rack on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Thule Force directly under our crossbars. With the feet hanging out the bottom of the box, we can go ahead and adjust them as necessary while placing them under our roof rack to fit around our crossbars. Once you have it situated, we can then open the box on the passenger side and use the hand knobs to tighten the two feet on this side. Once we have those two clamps tight, we can close this side of the box. We move on over to the driver side, open the box and tighten down the two remaining clamps. more

Today on our 2007 Ford Explorer, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box measuring 13 cubic feet in Aeroskin Black, part number TH624. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Thule Force directly onto our crossbars. Once we have it situated the way we like, we can then open the passenger's side and make sure that all the feet go around our crossbars. We'll use the attached hand knobs to tighten down the two feet on this side of the box. Take advantage one of the great features of this box which is the ability to open from either side of the vehicle. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box, and tighten down the few remaining feet. more

Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2013 Ford Explorer

Today well be doing a test fit of the Thule Pulse Alpine rooftop cargo box measuring 11 cubic feet on our 2013 Ford Explorer. Our Explorer comes with the factory mounted rails and we have installed the Thule Aeroblade load bars on top of those factory rails. To install the cargo box begin by placing the cargo box on top of your load bars. When doing so make sure that the feet of the clamps hanging out of the bottom of the cargo box simply go around the load bars. Then, go ahead and open up the cargo box and tighten each clamp by using the easy grip mounting hardware located inside. When you have each clamp tightened and secured you are ready to close your cargo box. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Explorer, well be test fitting the Thule Pulse Medium Rooftop Cargo Box 14 Cubic feet, part number TH614. Our Explorer already has the factory rails installed and it also has a set of our Aero Blade Roof Racks. To install this carrier you want to go ahead and place it onto of your load bars. Make sure that when placing it on top of your load bars that the clamps are secured around each bar. Once you have it centered in line with your vehicle, go ahead and open up your cargo box, go ahead and tighten each clamp by twisting the knobs inside. Once you have each clamp secure and tightened, go ahead and close the cargo box and turn the key in the lock position. more
