This is going to be a really good cargo carrier if you're looking to free up some room in the back, carry some extra gear, but also you don't want something that's going to weigh a ton, and it's going to be easy to kind of maneuver whenever we're not using it. Now, it's made of aluminum and it's lightweight, so you may think that you're not going to have good capacity.But, this actually has a 500 pound capacity, which is just as high as most of the other steel options that we have, but it's going to save a ton of weight whenever we don't have to use this, and we're tryingq to put it back up in the garage. It has a 60 by 22 outer dimension, but I'm going to give you some dimensions on the inside for the usable space. That's going to measure at 20.5 by 58, just a little over 58. more

This is going to be one of the larger-sized cargo carriers that we offer. It's 24 by 60, and I can give you quick measurements there on what this is going to do on the capacity on the internal dimensions, which, in my opinion, is the most important, and that is going to be . It was right at 60.So this is going to give us that true 60 by 24, not the outer dimensions. The inside ones are going to be five and a half, so that gives us really good capacity there. 500 pounds is what we can carry on this safely. more

The cargo carrier is really going to come in handy whenever you're taking your Forester on an adventure, that way you can free up some space for more passengers on the inside, but still be able to maintain your roof, being able to carry your bikes or any other accessories that you might have up there too. So this is going to be one of the larger cargo carriers available, and it's really going to give us a lot of room to work with. It's going to be 24 inches long by 60 inches wide and five and a half inches deep.Even though it is one of the larger carriers available, in my opinion, it's going to look pretty good on the back of the Forester. It's not really going to look funny or out of place. more

So this one's been designed for your mobility chairs, different wheeled items, because it does have that ramp. It allows you to pull things up and on rather than having to get a couple people and try to lift it up and on. Essentially what we've got is about 30 and a half inches of usable space inside here, can have about 50 inches of usable space there and a 500 pound weight capacity. It's going to get us right up there where we need to be. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Subaru Forester, we're gonna be taking a look at the Reese 24x60 cargo carrier, part number 63153. Now these are gonna be great to get that cargo and gear out of your car and make more room for passengers and pets. But it is gonna add a little bit of distance to the back, so I'd like to give you a few measurements. From the back of our bumper, it's gonna add roughly right about 36 and a half inches at the very back of our carrier. At the closest point, it's gonna be right about 11 inches to the back of our bumper, right here at the front. Now, ground clearance is gonna be an issue as well, the cargo carrier is gonna come in right about 16 and a half inches at the lowest point, at the back here.Now, the design of our carrier's gonna have an open wall design. more

Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Subaru Forester- Video
Today on our 2016 Subaru Forester we're going to be taking a look at the Car Pod 23 by 47 walled cargo carrier for two inch hitches, part number M2205. To mount this cargo carrier, as you can see it's got these walls that are nice and high all the way around the cargo carrier and that's going to help make sure containing your cargo is made easy and you don't have to worry about the straps that go all the way down and go all the way up over. That way you can strap over the top and make sure that everything is secured nicely inside. Now, with this here, let's take a few measurements. First let's get our ground clearance at the back of the cargo carrier. That's right about nineteen inches. Then our overall distance added to the length of the vehicle, it's going be about thirty-three and a half inches. Then closest point is going to be here at the top of the shank, that's right about five inches. With this cargo carrier, you've got these walls but you're also able to fold this cargo carrier up against the rear of the vehicle and in order to do that, you'll need to lower these walls. more

This cargo carrier has this nice edge that goes all the way around the inside with some pre-drilled holes in order to tie your cargo down. It features this mesh flooring to help make sure that any dirt and debris falls through, so that way it doesn't collect and get onto the bottom of your cargo. Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2011 Subaru Forester- Video
Today on our 2011 Subaru Forester we're doing a test fit of the Curt folding 20x60 cargo carrier. That part number is C18151. Now we already have it secured in there we're using this with 2 inch hitches, that's the only hitch style that it works with and it has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. First thing we're going to do here is take a few measurements starting off with our ground clearance we're going to have about 11 and a quarter inches. Our overall is going to be about 31.5 inches and then our closest point is going to be about 10 and a quarter inches away. Now as for our exhaust the Subaru has dual exhaust on both sides here, then we come about straight out and even with our carrier but it sits about 16.5 inches away. So if you're worried about heat sensitive materials I'd keep those more inside the cargo area. The next thing we'll check is our break over point which is going to be the point at which anything that stacks on our cargo carrier might make contact with our hatch doors. So we're going to have about 27.5 inches. more

Today on our 2015 Subaru Forester, we are going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks 151/2x50 cargo carrier. They've designed this for use in two inch hitches and it has a 220 pound weight capacity. Part number on it is HR1485. Now this can also easily be added to the rear of the Hollywood racks sport rider SE or SE2 models. When using it in conjunction with your bike rack, you will be limited to a 90 pound capacity, just keep that in mind. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this, we'll line up the pin hole with our hitch pin hole, easier said that done I suppose. more

To begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of our carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. As you can see, I'm resting it on that lower edge. I'm going to lift up on the rear as I push in at the same time. We'll need to slide it far enough in to where our pin holes line up with our hitch pin hole. more

If weight's an issue for you, this would be a great choice. It's a nice light carrier, easy to get on and off the vehicle. Once we have our pin holes lined up, we need to slide through a standard 5/8 inch pin. more

Today on our 2015 Subaru Forester, were going to test fit the 17x50 Maxxtow Compact Cargo Carrier. Theyve design this for use with 2 inch hitches. It offers a 500 pound weight capacity. Has a weight capacity of up to 500 pounds. The part number on it is K2HCC602. Now to begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. Curt 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Subaru Forester- Video
Today on our 2015 Subaru Forester, we're going to do a test fit of the 24x60 folding Curt cargo carrier. They designed it for use in 2" hitches and it offers a 500-lbs weight capacity. The part number on it is C18153. To begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this, we'll keep an eye on our pin holes to see when they line up. With those in line, we'll take a standard 5/8" pin, slide that through and secure it on the other side with a clip. The pin and clip are sold separately, we have that listed on our website as part number PC3. Let's get some clearance measurements now. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2010 Subaru Forester- Video
Today on our 2010 Subaru Forester, well test-fitting part number C18145. This is the Curt 20x48 Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4 and 2-inch Hitches. Now, weve already removed the included adapter for the 2-inch hitch, so were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. more
