Inno Tire Hold HD Bike Rack Review - 2022 Ram 1500- Video
Hi Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the inner tire hold HD bike rack on the back of the 2022 Ram 1500. Now there's gonna be a great option for you if you're looking for a carrier that's gonna be able to hold your really heavy E-bikes, and you don't wanna throw 'em in the bed of your truck because you don't want 'em getting damaged. So let's take a closer look at it. Now we're gonna have an 80 pound weight capacity per bike, and we're gonna have a tilt away feature too, but as you can see, it's not gonna tilt away very far. And that's one of the trade-offs with that really heavy weight capacity. And as you can see, even if the pedal's out of the way, we're still not gonna be able to get full tailgate access, but if we wanna take a look at the rest of it, we'll have to take off our bike. more

Saris MHS 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Ram 1500- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Saris MHS on our 2022 RAM 1500. The MHS is a platform style bike rack that can hold up to two bikes. They're gonna be held in these trays and by the tires. Got two wheel hoops, one on either wheel and that's gonna hold it in place with a secondary point of contact on our back tire with a wheel strap over it. It doesn't make any frame contact so it's gonna make it good for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes. more

This is gonna be a hitch mountain, and a bike rack and a hanging style bike rack. Hanging style just means that the bike is gonna hang by the frame here off of these arms and down below the rack. RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Ram 1500- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty SwingAway bike rack and seeing how it fits on our 2020 RAM 1500. The SwingAway is going to be a great option for any sort of truck because with the tailgate this allows you to swing the whole rack away with bikes loaded and have full access to your truck bed so you can open up the tailgate without any clearance issues, sit down before or after your ride or just have access to the bed if you need it, and you can leave your bike rack in the hitch and not have to think about it. The AfterParty is gonna be a great option for a wide variety of bikes as well. It makes no frame contact using this dual wheel mount design here, so it's good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. And with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike it can handle e-bikes too which is impressive considering the SwingAway feature here. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Ram 1500- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Rack's Destination four bike rack and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2020 Ram 1500. Now this is going to be a platform style bike rack and what that means is the bike sits on top of the rack rather than hanging by the frame. There are still gonna be some limitations with it because this does make frame contact on the bike. It holds everything in place with two wheel straps that pull down and in on the bike, helping to keep it pretty solid but also a frame cradle with a strap around it that's gonna hold it upright. more

It's gonna be a hanging style bike rack and we'll be putting it on a 2022 Ram 1500. Bike's gonna have three points of contact. You see that the straps go over the top tube here sits in the cradles, and then we have a strap that goes around the down tube to help that side to side movement. The full tilt is a platform, or excuse me, a hanging style bike rack that can hold up to five bikes. In total, it can hold 150 pounds, so just make sure you're not overloading it whenever you do load it up. And then, it's going to hold the bike hanging by the frame. So you've got a heavy duty truck and this is a heavy duty bike rack. It's great because you can fit pretty much any bike of any shape and size. We got great weight capacity at 70 pounds for your heavy electric bikes but also when carrying multiple bikes, it is staggered so you get really good clearance with your handlebars and your seats and things like that. The Destination E is an impressive rack for those extra heavy electric bikes. You have a ramp included. You have a 70 pound weight capacity and you have a versatile frame mount. So whether you have a step through bike or let's say a women's frame or alternate frame this is gonna work for that. Now we have some features here and this has an almost 90 degree tilt away but I did notice with that tilt away though is that it just doesn't go down far enough for our tailgate. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer.com Today we're taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro on our 2022 Ram 1500. The Hitching Post Pro is a hanging style bike rack. You can see it's holding it by the frame up here in these cradles and secured by these two straps up top. We've got a third one around the seat post to limit our side to side movement, and that's gonna help with bike to bike contact. Because of the hanging style bike rack, we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes because it can damage the frame by hanging by the frame. Alternative frame bikes and kids bikes are probably gonna need a bike adapter bar to fit properly over these dual arms and to hang level. more

The NV is going to be a platform-style bike rack, holding up to two bikes, each, up to 60 pounds. It's gonna hold the bike by our front tire here and it's gonna mean zero frame contact, making it good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and with that 60-pound weight capacity, good for e-bikes too. It is gonna have a lot of nice premium features in there, including some integrated cable locks into the end channels here that can just slot right back in and directly lock your bikes to the bike rack. They can be a little tricky to slide back in, but it's nice if they're built-in and able to be stored here for later use. more

That way there's no frame contact, which really opens it up to hold a bunch of different kind of bikes, because one, you can see on this e-bike, the frame's a little odd, so the hooks don't always get on there and hold it down very easily. And two, you can also use carbon fiber bikes on here because it's gonna hold it by the tires instead of the frame. That way there's no frame damage at all. more

John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today we have our 2019 Ram 1500 and we are test fitting the Kuat Transfer 2 bike rack. This is designed for one and a quarter inch and two inch trailer hitch receivers and it's a great way to get our bikes to our favorite destination without loading them into our rear bed or tossing them on top of our cab with a roof rack.This is designed to hold up to two bikes weighing 45 pounds each, we can accommodate a tire width of up to three inches, a max wheel base of 47 inches. Your wheel base is from the center of one axle to the center of the other axle, and then it can also accommodate entire wheel diameters of 20 to 29 inches. The Transfer 2 comes in gray as you see here with part number TS02G, or black with TSO2B. So you do have options there, depending on the color of your vehicle you might want to pick a different color.One of the things I really like about the Transfer 2 is that there's no bike frame contact. more

We're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack. We're going to come here behind both of our bikes and we're going to pull on our red tab. Pinching that together and pulling out, we can tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle.Now, in the position, we're not going to gain full access into our back tailgate area. We would make contact there, but you do have the option to hold this open just slightly and get out smaller items. Once we are done, we can lift our bike rack back up until it clicks.Now, how our bike is secured down here at the back, we have a ratchet strap. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Ram 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 RAM 1500 we're doing a test fit of the Swagman Chinook Platform Style Two Bike Rack, that part number is S64683.Now we already have our bikes secured down, we're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack. Wanna gonna come back in-between our two bikes and we're going to have a black lever down there. If we pull up on that lever we can actually tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle. With that tilted away we do gain partial access into our truck bed through our tailgate. You will need somebody to hold the tailgate because it would make contact with our wheel cradles down here. We can close that up and put our bike rack back into place we'll simply lift up until it clicks.Now how our bike is secured down at the front and rear tires we're going to have cam buckle straps. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Ram 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2018 Ram 1500, we're doing a test-fit of the Kuat NV 2.0 Platform-Style 2-Bike Rack, that part number is: NV22G.Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack. We're going to come in between our two bikes and we're going to pull down on the lever. They'll be in between both trays, we'll just pull down and we can tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle.In this position, we're not going to be able to gain full access into our truck bed through our tailgate, but you do have the option to hold that tailgate so you can get out smaller items. We'll close up our tailgate and then we can lift up on our rack until that clicks into place.Now, how our bike is secured down, here at the back, we have a cam-buckle strap. We're just going to push on the gray button and pull our strap through. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Ram 1500 TS02B- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ram 1500 we're doing a test fit of the Kuat Transfer platform-style 2-bike rack. That part number is TS02G. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack.We're going to come around between our bikes to our foot lever here. Now if we only have one bike on we can move our hook out of the way, use our foot on the pedal, and lower our rack away from our tailgate. Now unfortunately with the length of our tailgate and how our rack is laying, we're not going to be able to gain full access into our tailgate or truck bed area but you can have somebody hold our tailgate open so you can get smaller items. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2009 Ram 1500- Video
Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 series quad cab we'll be doing a test fit for the Touly T2 Pro platform style full bike rack. That's part number TH9034-9036. Now I've already got the bike rack and the bike loaded up just to give you a good idea of what it's going to look like and how it's going to secure our bikes. It actually secures our bikes in two spots. We have this rear-wheel strap going over our rear wheel keeping that in place, then for our front wheel we have a large wheel hook going over the front wheel putting down pressure into the wheel cradle here. All in all no frame contact with this bike rack. One of the best features is we can tilt it away with all four bikes loaded to gain better access to the rear of our truck. We'll come back here to this easy use handle. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Ram 1500- Video
Today on this 2016 Ram 1500, we're going to be test fitting the Thule T2 Classic two bike platform rack, part number TH9044. As you can see we already have a bike installed. First I want to show you a really neat feature about this. This bike rack can actually tilt away from the vehicle with the bikes still attached and you can gain access to the bed of your truck. To do that, there is this metal pin down here. Just pull that out. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Ram 1500 th9029xt- Video
Today on this 2016 Ram 1500, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4-bike rack, Part Number TH9029XT. As you can see, we already have a bike on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a look at how we actually attach it to it. There's going to be three points of contact with your bike's frame. There's going to be two straps up top here and one strap out to the side here which is going to act as an anti-sway strap, keeping it from moving back and forth, possibly hitting the bike racks or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it off to the side. Now once you've removed the straps, it's always a good habit to actually put the straps back into place. You don't want them flapping around while you're driving and you don't want to lose them while you're driving. All right, now with it like this, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements that will help you get a better idea of how far this actually sticks out from your vehicle once the bike rack is installed. more
