Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Jeep Liberty- Video
Shane: Hey guys, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2009 Jeep Liberty, and I'm going to walk through how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness. This is going to give you all the proper lighting functions to safely tow a trailer. It's going to give you your brake lights, running lights, and both turn signals. It's going to come with a nice dust cap that's going to help protect your factory connections from any dirt and debris when you're not using it. As you can see it also doubles as a holder on your hitch to keep it up off the ground. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2010 Jeep Liberty, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with four-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118554.This is what our wiring harness looks like when it's installed. We have plenty of length. However, if there was more that you needed, it's folded up on the back side of the hitch here, just zip tied. You can see it has a dust cap that's connected, so you don't lose it. Whenever you're not using a trailer, to keep it from dangling, you just hook it on your ring.Now, this is what you're going to get in your wiring kit. It's going to have your connectors for both your tail lights, plug into your existing connections. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Jeep Liberty- Video
Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number 118554. Now here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. It gives you nice four flat wiring with their weather tight cover. When you're not using it, you can just wrap it around your safety chain link. Now it'll stay there and won't be dangling around the bottom of your vehicle. It's not going to require you to have to cut any wires, tap into any wires, which is going to help save your electrical system. Now we're going to take the liberty to show you what's going to be included in your kit. You're going to have your T1 connectors, your module light which is going to go into your four flat with their weather tight connector, our hardware package, our fuse holder, and our 12-volt wire that's going to run from the battery to the back of the car and tie under our module light. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Jeep Liberty- Video
Today, we're going to show you a Curt T-connector Vehicle Wire Harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector, part number C55382. These are parts you get with this part number. First up, here's our T-connector right here. All right This T-connector with the yellow wire. This one always goes toward the driver side of the vehicle. It also has a red matching locks on there and matches the factory connection points on the wire harness. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2005 Jeep Liberty- Video
Today on our 2005 Jeep Liberty, we'll be installing the Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C55382. Now to begin the install of our new wiring harness, we'll first go ahead and open up the rear cargo door and then remove the driver and passenger's side taillight assemblies. To remove the taillight assemblies, we'll remove the two fasteners that secure the plastic housing to the body of the vehicle. Then pop the rear taillight assembly out of place being careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. Now with the passenger's side done, I'm going to move over to the driver's side and repeat the same process. We just need to work through the rear door hinge to access the two fasteners. Once they're out, to assist in remove the taillight assembly, we can also use a plastic pry tool or a flat blade screwdriver just to pop the alignment tabs out being careful not to break them. Next we'll remove the taillight assemblies, to remove the taillight assembly we'll go ahead and unlock the red locking tab then press on the connector lock and remove it from the back of the taillight assembly. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Jeep Liberty- Video
Today on our 2007 Jeep Liberty, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One Connector, part number 118524. Now this particular vehicle already has some additional wiring installed that will allow it to be towed behind a motor home so we're going to do things a little different on this one. Because we know we cannot pull the taillights completely off on this vehicle, we're going to go ahead and run the green wire with the two connectors over to the passenger's side leaving the box as well as the yellow, the small red and the ground wire over on the driver's side. We'll run the wire underneath the lower rear bumper fascia. Securing it with zip ties and running it behind some of the brackets that hold the rear bumper on. Now that we have it over to the passenger's side, we'll go ahead and remove the passenger's side rear taillight by first opening up the rear hatch of the vehicle and then removing the two Torx head screws shown here. Now that we have these two screws out, we'll go ahead and pull the light assembly out. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Jeep Liberty C56183- Video
Today in our 2008 Jeep Liberty, we'll be installing the CURT T-connector Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connection, part number C56183. To begin our install, we'll first open up the rear hatch. There are two screws for each assembly. We'll go ahead and remove the screws and then pop the assembly out of its position being careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. Then, we'll go ahead and press on the wiring connector and remove it from the taillight socket, setting the taillight aside. Now with the driver side done, I'll go ahead and repeat the same process on the passenger side. Next, we'll take our new CURT wiring harness and feed the green wire connector down between the bumper cover and body or sheet metal of the vehicle. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Jeep Liberty- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty well be installing the Tow Ready T1 connector, part number 118554. First to begin our installation well open up the rear cargo door. Well need to remove the fasteners that secure the taillight housing in place. Starting here on the drivers side, well go ahead and remove the two fasteners and then gently pry the taillight housing away from its current position, being careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. Now well go ahead and remove the taillight assembly by pressing on the locking tab for the connector and removing it from the assembly. Well go ahead and set it aside for reinstallation later. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Jeep Liberty 118524- Video
Today on our 2005 Jeep liberty well be installing the Tow Ready T1 connector part #: 118524. Our first step, well need to open up the rear cargo door. This will allow us to access the two fasteners on each side securing the taillight assemblies. Starting here on the passenger side well go ahead and remove the two fasteners and then the taillight assembly. Be careful when prying the taillight assembly away from the body of the vehicle not to break the alignment tabs as you can see here. Next well go ahead and remove the manufacturers wiring from the taillight assembly. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Jeep Liberty- Video
Today on our 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport, we'll be installing part number 118524 from Tow Ready. This is the T-One ModuLite Wiring Harness. To begin our test fit, we'll need to open the rear glass and tail gate to access the screws that hold the tail lights in place. There are two T20 torqued screws on either tail light. We'll remove the screws and carefully pry the tail light housing rear work away from the vehicle and being careful not to break the alignment tabs. And then we can access the black housings that match the housing on the T-connector. more
