Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Malibu- Video

Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Malibu

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Malibu we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor, part number RM-9530. And to help ups with our installation we're going to be also installing the Roadmaster Universal stop light switch kit part number RM-751000. So here is what our monitor is going to look like once we have everything hooked up. On the motorhome side it's just into this small box and we're going to have a power cord and be completely portable so if we need to move to another motorhome or we're not using it we can unplug it and put it in a storage compartment somewhere. And what our monitor is going to do is it's going to monitor the braking activity on our towed vehicle so that way we can easily see it with these lights right here and an audible alert to know exactly what's going on that way it prevents us from having to look at our rear-view camera looking for a small light that's going to be on the dash or the rear view of our towed vehicle. This is going to be a lot easier to see we're not going to have to strain in those high light situations, the middle of the day where the light on the dash may not come on that bright. We'll have our lights right here close to us and whenever we press on the brake pedal on our motorhome the yellow lights going to come on underneath brake letting us know the towed vehicles brakes are applied and when we release them the light will go out letting us know that the brakes are released on the towed vehicle. more

Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2018 Chevrolet Malibu y00146

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, we're gonna be test-fitting the Yakima round bar roof rack system, consisting of part number Y00409, these are the 58-inch round cross bars, part number Y00146, these are the baseline towers for the Yakima cross bars, particularly for naked roofs, part number Y03536, and this is the round bar SL adapter for the Yakima base line, and finally part number Y06123 and this is gonna be the base clip fit kit for the Malibu. The rider rack round bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your Malibu. It can carry anything from bike racks to cargo baskets to cargo boxes. While the round bars are both durable and strong, they are gonna make noise while you drive, so you might have to purchase aftermarket bearings to cut down that wind noise and drag, which you can find on etrailer.com.These are very easy to install. They simply clamp around your existing doorframe and tighten down into place. Everything is provided to tighten this down to your vehicle as well. And at the ends of our end caps, we do have plastic knockouts, which you can remove and replace with Yakima same key system which is sold separately. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Malibu- Video

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Malibu

Speaker 1: Today on this 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for towed vehicles, part number RM-156-25.Here's what our charge line kit looks like installed. This solves the problem that people encounter when they are flat-tailing their vehicle behind their motor home. The reason you need this is because when your vehicle has a supplemental braking system, its drawing its power from the vehicle's battery and not from the motor home. This will maintain the charge on your battery, so your supplemental braking system won't drain your battery and whenever you get to your destination, you will be able to start your vehicle up without any problems. Many of our customers have found this to be a great solution because several of them have found their battery's be dead and not able to start their vehicle after they've been towing for an extended period of time. This solved that issue for them and will solve the issue for you as well, so you don't have to worry about it.For this particular flat tow setup, we're using a Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit with removable arms, a Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with bulbs, a Roadmaster Seven to Six Wire Straight Cord, a Roadmaster Fusemaster Fuse Bypass, a Roadmaster Charge Line Kit, Roadmaster Coil Safety Cables, a Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Nonbinding Tow Bar and a Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit. In this instance, we are not installing a braking system that is available to us, my customer's supplying his own, but we do have several braking system options available too.In this particular case, I would recommend the Roadmaster Even Brake Braking System. more

RoadMaster Falcon 2 and Falcon All-Terrain Towing Kit Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Malibu- Video

RoadMaster Falcon 2 and Falcon All-Terrain Towing Kit Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Malibu

Today, on our 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going to be taking a look at, and installing, the Road Master Falcon 2 and Falcon All-Terrain combo towing kit with straight wiring, part number RM-9243-1. This entire kit is going to give us most of what we need in order to get our vehicle set up and ready for flat towing. We've got our 7 pole wire, that's going to come down to the 6 that's going to be attached on the front of our vehicle. We've got our bracket, here, that's going to allow us to mount our 6 pole outlet on the front of our vehicle. We've got a couple padlocks that are going to allow us to make sure that everything is locked in and secure, nobody's going to be able to take the vehicle and detach it from the motor home. We've got the safety cables, and on one end we'll be able to put these 2 quick links that come with the kit. We've got the diodes that are going to separate the signal coming from the motor home, or the signal coming from the vehicle, so that you can't potentially have a problem with the 2 overlapping, so it separates them and then sends them out the same location to the taillights. more
