Hi, everybody, how's it going today We're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the stealth hitches hidden rack receiver here on our 2021 BMW X5. So this is what our stilt hitch is gonna look like installed when we have the rack receiver portion inserted into the hitch to body. So this is what it's gonna look like when we're using our hitch mounted accessories such as our bike rack or cargo carrier. But the unique thing about this hitch is it actually has a completely concealed design when we're not using it. So on the side of this mechanism here it's called the lacking mechanism. We're gonna have a little knob that we need to twist. more

So this is what our hitch is going to look like while we have the receiver tube installed, and we can use it for our bike rack or our cargo carrier, whatever we may be wanting to use it at the time. However, the great thing about this particular hitch here is that when we're not using our bike rack or cargo carrier, we can actually remove this receiver tube rather easily, and we're going to have a completely factory like appearance, which is going to be important for our M3 owners here.So we're going to do is we're simply going to remove the receiver tube, and if we reach right up under the bumper here, there's going to be a very easy to use locking knob. You're just going to simply turn that. Once that's down it'll disengage our receiver tube here. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2018 BMW 5 Series- Video
Today on our 2018 BMW5 Series we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Curt Class One custom fit Trailer Hitch receiver.So here's what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. The crosstube's gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper and all we're gonna see is that receiver tube right here at the bottom. Our hitch is gonna offer us an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, since it is a Class One. It's gonna be great for some of those smaller bike racks or cargo carriers. Where 00:00:28 we're gonna mount any of our accessories so the hitch can hold here on the side. It is gonna accept a standard half inch pin and clip, now these are not gonna be included with the hitch, but you can pick 'em up here at etrailer.com.Now if you do plan on doing some light duty towing, keep in mind that there is a drawbar that's specifically made for our hitch here, and you can also pick that up here at etrailer.com, but our safety chain loops are gonna be welded to the bottom of the receiver tube, and as you can see even with this oversized hook, we're still gonna have plenty of room to get it hooked up or take it off.Now as far as the weight capacity goes over hitch, it's gonna have a 200 pound ton weight, which is the maximum downward force at the receiver tube along with the 2,000 gross trailer weight reading. more

They're all going to have a receiver tube right below our bumper and that cross tubes going to be hidden right behind the fascia.Another benefit to the removal receiver tube on our EcoHitch is when we're not using it and it's not in place, we won't be sacrificing any kind of ground clearance on our BMW because it won't be there. more

Today, on our 2012 BMW X6 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the class three two inch Curt trailer hitch receiver. Now this is what our hitch looks like installed. As you can tell, it's pretty much hidden and the only thing you can see is the receiver tube opening. Now it does sit pretty far back, which is going to keep it even more hidden. However, it does offer adequate clearance for any bike racks or hitch mounted accessories you might have. Now don't be intimidated that you have to remove the rear fascia to get this hitch installed. more

Today in our 2010 BMW X3 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class 3 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver. So here's what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. All we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out because the cross tube's going to be hidden nicely behind the bumper. Our hitch is a class three which means it's going to give us a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. We're going to have a lot of different options when it comes to accessories if we're going to mount up. So, here's what our hitch looks like once we have it installed. It's going to offer us an inch and a quarter by inch in a quarter receiver tube opening, which is going to be great for bike racks and some smaller cargo carriers. Part number 13077.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You can see the cross tube is completely hidden behind the bumper fascia. The only thing we see is the receiver tube, and it's nice and tucked in behind the outermost edge of the bumper fascia. We're not going worry about hitting our legs or our shins on it when we're loading or unloading the vehicle.You can see it's going to have a reinforced collar, give you a little extra stability on the receiver tube. Here's what our hitch looks like when it's fully installed, the cross tube's gonna be tucked up underneath the bumper nicely and all we're really gonna see is the receiver tube sticking out right here.Now our receiver tube's gonna have a nice reinforced collar, not only giving it added strength but giving it a nice, clean finished look. Now our hitch is a class one which means it's gonna give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. Here on the side we can see that it's gonna use a standard half inch pin and clip, they are included in our kit which is always a nice bonus. Now as far as the safety chain loops go they're gonna be a rolled steel stock style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube and as you can see we're not gonna have too much trouble getting most sized hooks on or off and still have room for our locking hitch pin if you choose to have one.Our hitch is gonna feature a 200 pound tongue weight along with a 2,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. Now I do want to mention you always want to double check your BMW's owners manual to make sure that your car can handle that amount of weight. more

Now this is a class one hitch so it's gonna give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening and it's gonna have a nice, reinforced collar giving it added strength and a nice, clean appearance.Now our hitch is gonna use a standard half inch pin and clip which is included which is nice because we won't have anything extra to buy. Now the safety chain loops are gonna be a rolled, steel stock style welded to the bottom of our receiver tube and as you can see we're not gonna have trouble with most size hooks, getting them on or off.Now our hitch is gonna feature a 200 pound tongue weight along with a 2,000 pound gross trailer weight rating and I just want to mention you always want to double check with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure your vehicle can handle that amount of weight. Now the manufacturer does recommend that you use a stabilization strap whenever you're carrying any non-trailer loads. If you need a stabilization strap you can pick one up on our website using part number 18050.Now I'd like to give you a few measurements that'll help you when deciding for accessories for your new hitch such as a bike rack or a cargo carrier. more

Today in our 2015 BMW X5, we'll be having a look at, and installing the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver. Part number 75600. All right, here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, our hitch sits nice and tight up against our fascia, with the main frame of it hidden completely behind our fascia. It fits in nicely in the factory cutout, in our fascia as well, so there's no trimming required. On the side of our receiver, you'll find two pinholes. The larger diameter one, is our 5/8 of an inch diameter hitch pinhole, which we use to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. more
