And it's gonna be really easy to use, especially when you need to get in close. Now, what's gonna give you that ability to accommodate those carbon frame bikes is that we're gonna make contact on our rear wheel with this strap, and we're gonna have this ratcheting hook on the front wheel and we're not gonna make any contact on our frame. Now, this is gonna be a great choice if you wanna go out riding with your family and you need to haul a lot of bikes and they're gonna be more of a standard variety. So if we take a closer look at how this sits up here, we wanna have three points of contact on our bike frame and that's gonna be the by using these little zip straps. And since we are making frame contact, we're not gonna be able to carry a lot of our alternative frame bikes and I wouldn't recommend using any carbon frame bikes. Now, what's gonna give it that ability to haul all those different types of bikes is we're gonna have this ratcheting hook in the front, making contact with our front tire, and this strap making contact with our rear tire. Since we're not making any touch points on our frame, we're gonna be able to haul our carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. Hey, everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Rack Sport Rider SE on our 2021 Nissan Rogue. What we have here is going to be a platform-style bike rack able to accommodate up to two bikes at an impressive 80 pounds each for their weight rating, which means that our heavier e-bikes are going to be an option for this. Now unfortunately, one of our main points of contact is going to be from the center mass, and it's going to be making that frame contact, which means that our carbon frame bikes unfortunately are not going to be an option for this rack. However, since our hook does have the ability to move up and down this rack pretty freely, that means that we're going to be able to accommodate most alternative frame bikes. They are adjustable, so these cradles that actually hold the bikes in, can be moved back and forth along the arms to adjust for spacing. And because it's a hanging style bike rack there are gonna be a few limitations to keep in mind right out of the gate. Carbon frame is gonna be a no-go, because it is hanging by the frame, so frame contact isn't gonna be good for those. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E-bike Rack, and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Nissan Titan. This is going to be a platform style bike rack aimed at carrying e-bikes. It has a 70 pound weight capacity per bike, so, good at carrying some of the heavier e-bikes and it's going to work great with bikes that have alternative frames, fenders, things like that because of the way it holds onto the bike. Three wheel straps at the bottom, pull it down and in, and also, keep that front tire from pivoting, but then, the frame clamp up top can rotate around 360 degrees to adapt to those alternative frames. And because we're not relying on wheel hooks for contact, it's fender friendly. more

Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Nissan Rogue- Video

Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium four-bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2021 Nissan Rogue. This is gonna be a hanging style bike rack that holds the bike by the frame hanging down below the arms. There's three main points of contact to make this work all in the form of these stretchy rubber straps that hold the bike frame down into the cradles, with that third one being around the side here, limiting our side to side movement and helping with bike to bike contact. One thing I'll point out right away with the Nissan Rogue is that the whole rack sits very close to the vehicle. And that also means that this inner bike sits close to the vehicle. more

Malone RunWay 2-Bike Platform Rack Review - 2021 Nissan Rogue- Video

Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we have the Malone Runway 2-Bike Platform Rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Nissan Rogue. So the owner of this vehicle actually got this bike rack, because they're looking for something that is lightweight where they can easily lift it up and into their hitch receiver, but also, is affordable, so that's definitely where this sits. Now, you do have some pros and cons with this type of bike rack, like it does take a little bit more work to its features like tilt it away and fold it up, and we're gonna focus on that, focusing on the Nissan Rogue. There are two length settings for this bike rack, we have it at the furthest out setting, and even then, we still have a little bit of a close call when it comes to mountain bikes. So if you have long handlebars, this is something you have to be mindful of as the bike rack shifts around. If you need to tilt the bike rack away with the bike on, this does tilt away. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Nissan Rogue- Video

Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hanging-Style Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2021 Nissan Rogue. Now, with this being a hanging-style bike rack, that does mean the bike is going to hang by the frame. You've got these dual arms with four sets of cradles, so capable of carrying up to four bikes, and having three points of contact on that frame. Two straps over the top that hold it down into these deep cradles, and the third one on the seat post here, acting as an anti-sway cradle, which does (indistinct) our side to side movement, helping with bike to bike contact and preventing the bike from running into our vehicle. A lot of different bike racks that we've tested today had clearance issues with the Nissan Rogue. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Skaha 2 platform style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2021 Nissan Rogue. Now this is going to be kind of a mid-range bike rack, but able to work with a wide range of bikes. With this being a platform style rack the bike is going to sit on top of the rack in these wheel cradles, and this particular one holds the bike in place primarily by our front wheel hook right here. That's gonna be the thing that holds the bike upright and keeps it still for the most part, and it does a pretty good job at getting a strong hold on the bike. more

Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport- Video

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Premium hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport. The Curt Premium is a hanging style bike rack that's going to hold onto our bikes by the top tube as well as an anti-sway cradle on the other side. It's gonna be able to support up to 180 pounds total, but because it does make contact with the frame on the top, if you want to use this with your carbon frame bikes, we'd recommend it against it. It does have a nice taper towards the end to accommodate kid's bikes, if you're going to be taking those out to the trail. But if you have an alternative style bike, you might need to pick up a bike adapter bar to make it work. more

This is gonna be a hanging style bike rack capable of supporting four bikes up to 35 pounds each. It's going to hold onto our bike primarily by the top tube here. It's just gonna sit in these cradles and there's gonna be one anti-sway cradle that's gonna hold onto the down tube of a bike to cut down on some of that swaying movement. With a hanging style bike rack it's almost impossible to get rid of that entirely so there's gonna be a little bit no matter what you do. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Nissan Pathfinder- Video

Hi everyone, Aidan here with trailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp on the back of our 2019 Nissan Pathfinder. The OnRamp is gonna be a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and by our frame. We have this cradle with a strap run around the frame to hold it upright and then two straps on the bottom that pull the bike down and in at an angle and that results in a really strong hold overall. This bike rack is designed to be used with e-bikes, has an included ramp that stores right on the bike rack and a 66 pound weight capacity so it's gonna be good for some of those heavier e-bikes. With it making frame contact, you do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes because it can damage the frame but alternative frame should be just fine. more

It's gonna hold our bike by the frame up here with this clamp that is totally lockable, so you can make sure your bike's secured. Because it makes frame contact though, we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes because that can damage the frame. But the clamp does move around, slide along the mast, pivot and rotate 360 degrees, so you can adapt it to alternative frames just fine. more
