Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One trailer wiring harness here on our 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. So a trailer wiring harness is gonna be one of the several components that we're gonna need to successfully tow a trailer here with our Bronco. Now, the first one is gonna be obviously the trailer hitch where we're obviously gonna need a ball mount and hitch ball. And last but not least, we will need a trailer wiring harness. And what the trailer wiring harness does is it transfers the signals from our vehicle here to the trailer, so we can let other motorists out on the road know what signals we're gonna be making, so we can arrive to our destination safe and sound. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Hopkins plug-in simple trailer wiring harness here on our 2014 Ford Edge. So, a trailer wiring harness is gonna be one of the few things you're gonna need to successfully tow a trailer here with your Edge. So, in addition to the trailer wiring harness, we're gonna need a trailer hitch, as well as a ball mount/ hitch ball. The trailer wiring harness portion of it is what's gonna allow the vehicle to transmit the taillight signals to the trailer. Now, this is not only your legal requirement, in almost all states, it's also gonna be necessary to let other motorists out in the road know the signals we're gonna be making. A lot of times, our trailer is actually gonna block the taillight signals on our vehicle. more

Now, this isn't a plug and play per se, so there's a little bit of splicing involved, but I'm gonna show you how to do it. Here, we have our four-pole, hanging off from its dust cap on our hitch. Now, this is a necessity if you plan on ever towing a trailer. And what this does, this is gonna send the signals from your vehicle, whether it be your running lights, your brake lights, or turn signals and transmit them to your trailer. more

Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the CURT trailer wiring harness for a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. So this is a 4-pole trailer wiring harness, and this is gonna be a crucial necessity for when pulling a trailer. This hooks up to your trailer's wiring to send a signal from your vehicle to the trailer, letting the people know behind you when you're using your turn signals, brakes, and when your running lights are on and that's gonna keep you safe and legal, and also your trailer from getting rear-ended. The wiring harness has a very simple way to connect to your vehicle, and that's using a module that protects your vehicle from any electrical shorts and from there it routes out to your taillights and it clips in with a OEM style clip and jumpers onto your taillight. more

Hi there, Ford owners. Today, your 2020 Ford F250 Super Duty, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Bargman's In-Bed 7-Way trailer connector. This is what our In-Bed 7-Way connector looks like when it's installed. The cover here labels all of our circuits, which is great for diagnostics and testing, especially if you're trying to use your truck to determine if you've got an issue with your truck or your trailer, you can check each of these circuits to know what's going on. The cover here is going to be spring loaded to keep out any dirt, debris and moisture, and there's seals on the inside. When we lift up the cover, we can see our round seven way connector in there. more

Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 Ford Transit T350- Video
Hola neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're gonna install the Tekonsha Trailer Wiring System on our 2018 Ford Transit-T350. Now this four pole system is gonna be great for hooking up to our trailer, which this will give us the signals from the vehicle for your brake lights and turn signals, keeping you safe and legal while towing. So this is gonna be on the outside of your vehicle, so it does have this rubber boot, which is a dust cap, and also keeps water and road grime from getting all your connections dirty. This will mount onto a bracket and you'll have it ready for when you need it to tow. If you don't have a bracket you can actually hook these onto your hitches tow loops and keep them in place. So the wiring kit has a T-connector that connects to our factory bulbs and splits off. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Pollak In-Bed Gooseneck or Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness here on a 2019 Ford F-150. So, our in-bed wiring harness here is gonna be designed for when we're towing Fifth Wheel or Gooseneck trailers. Now, I will say that most of the time, you can actually just use the factory-mounted trailer connector on the bumper, but it's really best when you're towing your in-bed trailers that you install a trailer connector in the bed here, that's gonna make it much more accessible for the wiring harness coming off the trailer, and we don't have to worry about draping everything down over the tailgate, or our wiring harness getting caught up on the hitch or any of those other components. So, here's what our trailer connector is gonna look like installed. Now, so long as you do a good job, it remains a pretty factory-like install look. It really doesn't stand out in this location right here behind the cargo hook and below the switch, is really gonna be the perfect location. more

So our four pole trailer wiring harness here is gonna be an excellent option for our smaller or even our medium-sized trailers that don't have brakes. It's gonna provide us with the most basic functions that we need to keep our trailer legal, such as the running light circuit as well as the stop and turn signal circuit for both the driver and passenger side. So again, this is gonna be most common on our smaller and medium sized trailers. If you have a larger trailer that has trailer brakes or a battery onboard, you're gonna want to use a seven pole connector as well. And we do have seven full options for this vehicles that are plug and play just like our Curt harness here. more

Hey, guys. Today, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness here on our 2019 Ford Edge.So our T-One wiring harness is going to provide us with a basic 4-pole trailer connector. Now this is going to work for the majority of the smaller trailers without brakes. It's going to provide us with the running light circuit, the left and right stop and turn signal circuits, as well as the circuit for the ground. So again, most trailers are going to be utilizing this 4-pole connector, as long as they don't have brakes. If they do have brakes, you'll actually need to adapt this to a seven way and we have plenty of four to seven way adapters to do so.So in regards to mounting, we have a few different options here. more

We're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Curt in bed wiring harness for fifth wheel and gooseneck trailers here on our 2017 Ford F-350.So our in bed wiring harness here is going to be an excellent option if we're towing a fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer. Now, sometimes you can use a trailer connector at the bumper, but sometimes you can't because your electrical cord isn't long enough and it'll bind in turns, causing damage to both the trailer and possibly the vehicle. So this is where our in bed wiring harness is going to come into play.This is what it looks like. As you can see here, we have a lid that also helps secure the trailer connector, as well as keeping out any dirt and debris. more

Hey, everybody, how's it going Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector here on our 2019 Ford F-150. So if your F-150 didn't come with a factory seven-way, it came with either a factory four-way or no trailer connector at all, this seven-way kit here is going to be an excellent option for you so you can really utilize your truck for what it is and start towing. We're going to be able to tow the smaller trailers, as well as some of the larger trailers near the upper end of the towing capacity of our vehicle here. Since those trailers are more than likely going to have brakes, we are going to need a seven-way way of some sort, which is why this T-connector is going to be an excellent option.So, in regards to installation, it's actually going to be entirely plug and play. We don't need to do any cutting or splicing into our factory vehicle wiring, so we don't have to worry about any warranty or causing any issues to the vehicle itself. There are, however, two things you see here, which you don't get in our kit, and that's going to be this long no-drill bracket here, as well as this other bracket that our trailer connector actually attaches to. more

Today on our 2020 Ford F-250, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT gooseneck and 5th wheel in-bed trailer wiring for trucks with aluminimum beds. So this is going to work out real well for those of you that pull those 5th wheel and gooseneck trailer hitches.And that's because having an in-bed plug, we could simply and conveniently plug right into here, as opposed to having to drape your wiring over your tailgate and plug it in down by the bumper. Whenever you do that, that wiring kind of bangs up into your tailgate and scratches it up. And not to mention whenever it's plugged in down there by the bumper, I would say the chances of it accidentally coming disconnected greatly increase as opposed to having it just plugged in right here. more

Rob: Hey everybody. It's Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we'll be taking a look at the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector on our 2019 Ford Edge. Now one thing I do want to mention right off the bat, is that our wiring here does not come with a mounting bracket. But you can see we went ahead and used one in our application. One, because it gives it a nice clean look, makes it really accessible whenever you do want to tow your trailer, your wiring will be there, but it's also going to help protect it, keeping it off the ground and preventing it from dragging. more

Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Ford Taurus- Video
Everyone Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2012 Ford Taurus, and I want to walk through how to install the Hopkins simple vehicle wiring harness. When we're looking for wiring for a vehicle, typically, we're wanting wiring to either pull a trailer or maybe we have a cargo carrier that has lights on it. Maybe we have an enclosed box that maybe covers up our tail taillights a little bit, and we want to be able to get those lights onto the cargo carrier or the enclosed box so that everybody can see what we're doing. This wiring harness is going to give us those options. It's going to give us all of our proper lighting functions, running lights, brake lights, and our turn signals.It's a four-pole connection. more

So this connector is going to make towing your Fifth Wheel or Gooseneck Trailer just a little bit easier. You're able to just simply plug the trailer wiring directly into here, as opposed to having to drape your wiring over the tailgate, plug it down by the bumper. This is going to simplify things a little bit. You're not going to have to worry about that wiring scratching up your tailgate or potentially coming unplugged. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. today on our 2018 Ford Explorer, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T connector vehicle wiring harness.The main thing that we're going to use our wiring for is to provide our trailer with the necessary lighting functions, not only to remain safe, but legal. We're going to get our tail lights, our brake lights and our turn signals. And something else too not a lot of people think about is that this can be used with accessories that actually light up. So cargo carriers, little steps, things of that nature. The majority of them share the same type of connector, so you're going to be able to power those up with this as well.It is going to come included with a really nice thick, rubber dust cap because the wiring is designed to be mounted outside here. more

Hey everybody. It's Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we've been taking a look at the CURT T-connector vehicle wiring harness on our 2019 Ford Edge. Now our CURT harness is going to provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector. That way, whenever we're towing a trailer, you're going to have all the required lights to get down the road safely, like our stoplights, our taillights, and our turn signals. And the other nice thing about it is, that a four-pole connector is going to be one of the most common trailer connectors out there, and it is going to be adaptable so we can use other ones, if you have other ones on your trailer, like a five, six, or even a seven one. more

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Ford F-53- Video
Hi, there Ford owners. Today, on your 2015, Ford F-53 chassis, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Hopkins Seven Way and Four Pole Flat Trailer Connector with Mounting Bracket.This is what our connector is going to look like when it's installed. It gives you a nice look here at the back of the vehicle and I really like the way that it has the dual covers on it because we've got our four pole connector here on the right and a seven pole connector here on the left. It feels nice and sturdy, it's a nice, well-built connector. I like that the covers are spring loaded so I don't have to worry about accidentally leaving them open and moisture getting in there, corroding them because on the inside of our covers, we also have rubber seals on both sides to ensure a long lasting, proper operating connection.By having a connector that has both a seven way and a four way, you've pretty much eliminated your need for adapters, as the most common connectors you're going to run into are those with a four pole connector and for your larger trailers with brakes, you're going to usually have a seven way connector. We've got both of those here and to make things even easier for getting this installed for you, they've provided diagrams on each of our covers here so you know what each pin does. more

The wiring is going to easily allow us to hook up our trailer to our Escape. That way we can have all the necessary lighting functions on the trailer, not only to be more safe, but legal as well. And something that a lot of people don't think about, is a lot of times, especially nowadays, a lot of these hitch mounted accessories, like cargo carriers actually have lights on them. So now on our 2017 Ford F250, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Bargman 90 degree, seven-way for fifth wheel and gooseneck trailer hitches. Now this kit is going to be designed for trucks with aluminum beds. Many of the questions we get asked, especially with the aluminum bed Fords, is this kit going to work or potentially damage their truck bed The answer is this kit is going to be specifically designed for aluminum beds, and that's because the screws that actually hold our plug in place are made from aluminum. So we're not going to have to worry about any corrosion issues, or things of that nature as like some of the other plugs that use just your traditional style steel screws. And because of that, the steel screws will eventually corrode and cause a little bit of damage. more
