Hey, guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox, and we're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4 Hitch Receiver. Being that this is an 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 Hitch Receiver tube opening, that is going to be the size of the opening itself. It is not going to be the most common size out there on the market. A 2-inch hitch receiver's gonna be the most common size if you're looking for the most variety of accessories, but there's a couple of circumstances in which this 1-1/4 is gonna be just fine for you. The first one is gonna be like a lot of my friends, they switch from vehicle to vehicle, but all their accessories are 1-1/4 because the vehicle that they had before it, there was only an 1-1/4 hitch available for it. more

Adding a two inch hitch receiver to your Grand Cherokee is gonna allow you to do a couple different things. First off, a lot of people like to use, especially a hitch this heavy rated, they like to use their hitch to pull small trailers. And if you plan on doing that, I highly recommend installing a wiring harness on the back of your Jeep so that you can safely get those lights powered on your trailer. You can use it for cargo carriers, bike racks if you wanna mount a small winch on the back if you take your Grand Cherokee off road, some people do. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2024 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install, the CURT Class 2 inch and a quarter Hitch Receiver. Adding the hitch receiver to the back of your Equinox is gonna allow you to haul different accessories such as bike racks, cargo carriers, or ball mounts, if you wanna pull a small trailer. I will say if you're planning on pulling a trailer, you will want to install a wiring kit too so that you can get your trailer lighting functions from your vehicle. One of the biggest reasons why people like to go with an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter hitch receiver tube is because they already have accessories from an older vehicle that they had that had an inch and a quarter hitch receiver. Me personally, I would go with one of the two inch hitch receiver tube options for the Equinox because it has a pretty impressive tow rating and if you ever want to pull a trailer, you can do that with it. more

Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Curt Class 2 trailer hitch receiver on a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. This is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and it's an exposed cross tube, which means you can see a good majority of the hitch hanging down underneath the bumper, but it sits pretty high up, to where it's really not too much of a concern. Still has an overall pretty clean look. Now this is an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. So when it comes to tubes and accessories, you're gonna be a little bit limited. There are two inch options available for this vehicle that I might recommend. more

Being a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening is gonna be a great option because when choosing ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers, you're gonna have a ton of different options, as this is kind of the standard size for those. Now, all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip, which is not included with the hitch, but many times when choosing accessories, they'll come with one. So that's something to look for. Now, if you wanna get a locking pin and clip, that's a great option if you plan on leaving your accessories on your vehicle because when locked in place, no one's gonna be able to just walk by and take the accessories. Our plate-style safety chain loops are gonna be great for hooking up your safety chains when towing a trailer. more

So when it comes to how this hitch sits on the vehicle, one thing you're probably gonna notice right out of the gate is that you really don't see much besides that receiver tube and that's gonna be true for a lot of the other hitch options available for the RAV4. Hey, guys. It's Jake here with Etrailer. Today, we have a 2023 Audi Q5, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Etrailer class three two-inch hitch receiver. Adding a two-inch hitch receiver to the back of your Audi Q5 is gonna allow you to carry bike racks, cargo carriers, or if you get the wiring kit too, maybe even tow small trailers. The back of our Q5 has got a little bit of room for storage, but if you go on those longer trips and you wanna haul bulkier items like a cooler or some larger luggage, a cargo carrier is gonna be much easier to tie everything down onto, and you can bring that much more stuff. Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Ford F-150 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install the Curt Class IV 2" Hitch Receiver. Now right off the bat, the first thing you're gonna notice is that this hitch is designed to be an addition to your factory hitch receiver. It'll mount up on the frame rail. It does not affect how the factory hitch receiver is installed. And there's a couple of different reasons of why you would be looking for something like this. more

Now we have a total of five hitches that we're gonna be looking at today and all of these are gonna fall into the 2" by 2" category. There are 1-1/4" available, but this is kind of what I would recommend to friends and family. Your 2" by 2" has a lot more options when it comes to accessories and overall I think you'll be happier with that larger diameter. Now we have four of 'em on our rack and we also have one installed on our car. And we're gonna start here on the rack. more
