Rhino Rack Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2021 Volkswagen Jetta- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at how the Rhino-Rack ski and snowboard and fishing rod carrier fits on a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta. So this has a bunch of different size options, you can get it as a 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 pairs of ski carrier, so what we have here is the four, right there in the middle, but it's really up to you which one works better for you, they all work the same way, they have the same sizes, the same clearances, just different amounts of skis that you can carry. Now, here with your Jetta, you are limited to your crossbar spread, so center to center, it's gonna be 27 3/4 inches, and we do recommend like around 29 inches, but here, it's perfectly fine with the bindings on the ski. Now, to access those skis, you have these big buttons up top. So even with your heavy or thick gloves, just hit those buttons, one and two, those pop up, making it easier for you to grab the skis and snowboards. Now, if you want to or with the longer carrier, that might be a little trickier, so I would recommend getting or look at the slide out function, but here, you can also see how this can be used with those fishing rods because of the rubber padding on the bottom and the top of your carrier. more

So this is a great carrier for if you want to carry your skis, your snowboards, even your fishing rods during off season and you don't want them inside your car and you want to maximize your space and put them on your roof rack. So the way this works is, you can see how the carrier sits on top of our car. It has a pretty cool sleek design here. It has a big button, so if you have big gloves like me or even bigger gloves when you go skiing you can just hit it with your palm and it goes straight up. This can also be locked. more

Yakima Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2014 Volkswagen Passat- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Volkswagen Passat, we're going to be doing a test fit on a Yakima FreshTrack Ski and Snowboard Carrier. That part number is Y03093. This is a retro-style carrier that mounts to the roof rack of your vehicle and allows you to transport up to four boards or three sets of skis to and from the slopes. It has a nice big gray button that we push down to access where we would store our equipment. It has a spring-loaded system to where it'll stay open so you can load and unload your gear. When we shut it, it's going to lock into place just like that. more

Thule Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2013 Volkswagen Jetta- Video
Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta we're doing s test fit of the Thule snowpack ski and snowboard carriers. That pert number is TH7326. Now we already have the front half of our carriers on, we're going to show you this back half because it is the same installation. We'll first take our carrier and just align it with the front half as best we can. Then well take our strap around. Since it won't fit there we can come around to our knob in the back and start to loosen that strap. When that's loose enough, we'll take that strap and just fit it in to its spot on the carrier. more

RockyMounts Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2013 Volkswagen Jetta- Video
Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, we're doing a test fit of the Rocky Mounts Lift Up Biggie Ski and Snowboard carrier. That part number is RKY1482. We already have our front half on, we're going to show you how we load up the back half. The first thing we'll do is make sure that our cables are all facing the right way, and we'll slide it on and line it up with the front as best we can. Then we'll take our cable, bring it around the front, and fit that into this lock here. With that in place, we can take any type of Allen key or Allen tool that will fit, and we'll just tighten this bolt down here on the side. Tightening this bolt is going to actually tighten our strap around the bottom of the crossbar and secure that in place. more

Yakima FatCat Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2015 Volkswagen Golf- Video
Today on our 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI, we'll be doing a test fit of the Yakima Fat Cat. This is going to be your roof rack mounted ski and snowboard carrier that hold 6 skis or 4 snowboards. It will be part number Y03088. As you can see we've already got one fitted onto to the vehicle onto our Yakima Round Bars. Now we'll go ahead and mount the other one up. Make sure that your clamps are undone, they just simply fold up and under, they go right up into the grooves, you'll see the 2 sides there, they go right up into the grooves and then it will simply close up. more

Whispbar Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2015 Volkswagen Golf- Video
Today on our 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI, we will be doing a test fit of the Whispbar Roof Rack Mounted Ski and Snowboard Carrier. It's going to be part number WB-300. As you can see, we've already got one up here mounted on our vehicle, and we're going to show you how to mount the other one on. We'll make sure that our straps are undone on both sides, and that the inside wingnuts that you see here are loose. Let's go ahead and place it up there. Then, we'll go ahead and bring the strap around. You can use the red knob to loosen and tighten it by simply spinning it either direction. We're going to bring it up and clip it on. more
