It's going to be a great way to get all that gear out of your vehicle and up on the roof. That way it gives everybody more leg room on the inside, makes for everybody happier on a trip. So, right away I want to say that it's made out of ABS plastic so it's nice and durable, you can hear it. Even thicker here on the bottom, you can hear kind of a lower toned knock. more

It's going to be a really nice, easy to use cargo box. I like that it's a more cost effective option, if you're looking to get a little bit more protection on top of your roof, versus something like a cargo basket, or a hitch-mounted cargo carrier. But it's going to lack a few features of some of the higher end ones, but I was actually pleasantly surprised when I took this one out. I hit some rain, and didn't have any issues with it.It's pretty easy to install. more

Malone Roof Box Review - 2014 Volkswagen Passat- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Volkswagen Passat, we're going to be test fitting the Malone Rooftop Cargo Box, and that's going to be part number MPG902.If we take a look at some of the features visible from standing right here, we're going to see that it has a very nice aerodynamic shape to it. So while it's installed in your traveling, it's going to cut down on wind noise and drag while it's up there, and your gas mileage shouldn't be affected too much.If we take a look from the front of the vehicle, we're going to see that it's a very narrow cargo box, and so while we have it pushed to the right side of our vehicle, we're going to see on the other side we could fit another accessory even on our smaller sedan. If you wanted to put a bike rack up there, you could choose to do that. You just want to be sure you double check the weight that you might have in your cargo box or on the other accessory and make sure that the roof rack and the vehicle roof can handle that weight.When we come to the back of the vehicle, we're going to see that even with our cargo box installed, we have no problem trying to access the trunk of our vehicle. You can see there's plenty of space, so you're going to have no problem right there. We're going to see we have four different points of contact where our cargo box is secured to the roof rack. more

Inno Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Volkswagen Passat- Video
Today on our 2015 Volkswagen Passat, we're test fitting the Inno Shadow Series Cargo Box in a gloss black finish, it has 13 cubic feet of space and it also has memory mount clamps. The part number for that is INBRA1250BK. Now, we're going to show you how we put these memory clamps on. First, we'll take a look at the clamps themselves. With this gray lever you tighten and loosen down the clamps there, and then they tighten down around your cross bars with that clamp there. They're a memory clamp so you don't have to measure out and keep screwing or unscrewing each time you put them on. We also have an anchor down spot for your straps that we have in the box. more

It has 14 cubic feet of storage space on the inside of it and it comes in your black finish, with your sturdy plastic construction. We're going to go ahead and put it up on the vehicle and it's going to be part number Y07192. Actually, let me put it up the other way here, that way I can show you how to do it. All right, once you've got it to this point here, you're going to want to make sure that your feet and clamps are open here. Then we will simply sit it down and then we're going to slide it back and that will push those clamps up over where we want them to be, right there. Couple things I want to point out once we do get it up here, is that you're going to want to make sure that all your feet are opened up underneath. Today on our 2014 Volkswagen Jetta, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box with 13 cubic feet of space, aeroskin black in color, part number TH624. With a Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box up onto our vehicle's load bars. After positioning the clamps to fit over the bars, we can unlock the box and open the lid, exposing the two closest knobs. We'll then turn the knobs to tighten down the clamps, up against each bar. We'll then move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same process. Now, this double sided, opening lid, will also enable you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the vehicle. more

With the Thule Rapid Traverse Rack system already in place, we'll start out test fit by grabbing the cargo box and placing it on our roof rack. Since our box only opens from one side we're going to put it on the passenger side. We'll open up our box, place our feet through the slots, then we'll go back and secure them in place with a quick turn of the knob. Today on our 2013 Volkswagen CC, we will be test fitting the Rhino Rack Master-Fit Rooftop Cargo Box with 14 cubic feet in silver, part number RMF400. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Rack system already in place, we'll grab our cargo box, set it on to the top of our rack, we'll center it up, next we'll open our box. We'll grab our foot hooks, slide them through the slots and secure them in place by turning them to the right. Now that this side is done we'll repeat the process on the other side. With our cargo box in place and our feet tightened down, we're good to go. Today on our 2013 Volkswagen CC we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL roof top cargo box with 22 cubic feet of space, in metallic silver, part #TH636S. With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof top rack system already in place, let's get started with our fit by placing the cargo box onto our roof rack. We find it easiest to place the box on an angle onto the rack, making sure you have your foot hooks in place. Once your foot hooks are in place, you can set the box down onto the rack. We find it easiest to slide the box in place, making sure your foot hooks slide over the bars. With the box in place, you'll unlock it, open it up, and tighten up your foot hooks until they click. Once you hear the click, your feet are secure. more

Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2010 Volkswagen Golf- Video
Today on our 2010 Volkswagen Golf we will be test fitting the Thule Force medium rooftop cargo box with 13 cubic feet of space, aero skin black in color part number Th624. With the Thule rapid traverse roof rack system already assembled onto our vehicle we will begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicles load bars. After positioning the clamps to fit over the bars we will unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two knobs. We will then turn the two knobs to bring the clamps up around entirely against each bar. We will then move the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same process. Now this double sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the vehicle. With everything all tightened down and secured you can see that you can easily access the rear hatch of our Golf with the force large secured. With that, that will complete today's test fit for the Thule Force medium rooftop cargo box part number Th624 on our 2010 Volkswagen Golf. more

Today, on our 2007 Volkswagen Jetta, we'll be test-fitting the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 13 cubic feet, in Aeroskin Black, park number TH624. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack system on our vehicle, and our rear antenna removed, we'll go ahead and place the Thule Force directly onto our load bars. As you can see, we can re-install our rear antenna without it making contact with the rear of our box. In order to do this, we need to make sure that our box is set as far forward as possible. Once we have our box situated, we can open the passenger's side of the box and use the two hand knobs on this side to tighten our feet around our bars. One of the great features of the Thule Force is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box and tighten down the two remaining feet using the hand knobs. more

Once we have it situated the way we like, we can open the passenger side of the box and tighten the two hand knobs to tighten our clamps around our load bars. Now to begin our test fit well simply place the cargo box onto our vehicles crossbars. Loosening up the claws before setting the box onto the vehicles crossbars may allow easier installation. Well now position the box onto the center of the vehicles crossbars. Well then use the key to open up the lid to expose the knobs on the bottom part of the cargo box. Today, we're working with the 2012 volkswagen Passat, and we'll be test fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 14, part number y07192.We'll take our boxes, set it up ontop of the crossbars. We'll open the box from one side and then we'll make sure we fit the clamps below around our crossbars.Once we have the clamps fitted around our crossbar in the boxed position where we want it, we'll use the knobs inside to tighten it down. Alright, today on this 2011 Volkswagen Jetta were going to do a test fit of the SportRack Aero XL Cargo Box, part number A90275. The car has already been equipped with a Thule Roof Rack System with the square load bars. Ok, a couple of quick notes about this cargo carrier is that it is designed to mount between crossbars or between 24 and 34 inches, and the maximum bar diameter will be 4 inches. We'll go ahead and start our test fit by taking the box and putting it on top of the cross rails. We'll take a few seconds to line up the holes and the cargo box to match the crossbars. Now you have a little bit adjustment from front to rear and of course you can move it left to right. more
