etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2016 Cadillac SRX- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2016 Cadillac SRX. And this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Cadillac and it's got a nice clean look. A majority of the hitch is hidden behind the rear fascia, leaving just the receiver tube opening to be really visible and it does sit pretty nice against the fascia. Now that's something that you may notice is that panel that was here previous will not be able to be reinstalled because the hitch sticks out a little bit, but again, it's got a pretty clean look. Now this one is a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening and something that's specific to the Etrailer hitch is that matte black powder coat finish, which looks really nice here but with that 2 inch by 2 inch, that means you have tons of different options available, which is gonna be great for any bike racks, ball mounts, or cargo carriers that you may put on here. All of them are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip, and this is not included with the hitch, but a lot of times your accessories will come with a pin and clip, if you wanna get a locking one those are available here at Etrailer and that way if you plan on leaving your accessories on the back of your Cadillac, they can stay locked in place. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Cadillac XT4- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Cadillac XT4. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and that's the great part about this one, is it sits far enough back that when you do need to use it, you can simply twist the two plastic knobs on the cover, pull this out, and then you're ready to go, but when not in use, this panel goes back on and it's completely hidden, but taking a closer look at the hitch, it's gonna be a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is pretty much the standard size for a bunch of different accessories. So if you're looking for ball mounts, bike racks or cargo carriers, there's plenty of options available for this hitch. Now, when you put those accessories in, you're gonna need a 5/8 pin and clip to allow those to stay in place and the hitch does not come with one. A lotta your accessories will come with the pin and clip, so that's something to look for, but if you wanna pick up a locking one, that way you can load your accessories up, lock it in place and know that it's not gonna walk away in the hands of someone else, then we have plenty of options available here at etrailer. Now, we do have rolled-style safety chain loops that are nice and open. more

You just have two twist the knobs there and then some plastic clips that you can just simply pull out and then you have full access to your two-inch by two-inch receiver tube. more

etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Cadillac XT5- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer class three trailer hitch receiver here on our 2017 Cadillac XT5. One of the nice things about the etrailer hitches is that they all come with a nice matte black powder coat finish. And what that does is it kind of blends in a little bit better with the fascias that aren't as shiny which typically most of them aren't gonna be real glossy. They'll have that kind of matte black to 'em and then also it's not gonna show as much scratches. So obviously over time rocks kick up, debris on the road can kind of scratch up against your trailer hitch receiver, or even just general use from you putting your hitch pin in or whatever, cargo carrier, bike rack, your ball mount any of that can end up scratching the receiver. And those matte black receivers are gonna offer a whole lot better of a look because it's not gonna show all of those scratches like a nice glossy one typically would. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2023 Cadillac XT5, we're gonna be showing you how to install the etrailer.com trailer hitch receiver, but before we get into that, why don't we just take a minute, check this out, and make sure it's gonna work for you. One of the best things about this hitch is the fact that it can hide behind this panel, and with Cadillacs being luxury vehicles, personally, I would rather not have to look at a trailer hitch whenever I don't want to, and because this panel, this'll pop on when you're not using the hitch, and you won't even know it's there, and there is a couple screws that'll go in there too, but I'm not gonna bother with them right now just so I can effectively demonstrate this. So it looks completely OEM, completely stock, and when you're ready to use a hitch, you can remove the panel here, and now you have full access to it. With Cadillacs, you get a lot of cool features, one of 'em being the Hands-Free Liftgate Assist, and a lot of people wonder if putting a trailer hitch back here is going to affect that, and with this one the answer is, "No." It's still gonna work the way it should, and honestly, with the hitch sitting up high, you really don't even need to adjust your foot, but if you end up having some issues, just kick to either side of the receiver tube and it'll open up like it should. With this being a Class 3 hitch, it is gonna have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, super common size, it's gonna work with a lot of different things. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Cadillac XT5- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Curt trailer hitch receiver here on a 2021 Cadillac XT5. So, a big question we get here at etrailer, whenever someone's installing a trailer hitch on their vehicle, is if the hands-free liftgate feature is still going to work That's obviously a big point of concern for a lot of our customers, so it is important it's still operable with the trailer hitch installed. And as you can see here, by just simply waving our foot back and forth under the vehicle, our hatch does open, verifying the functionality of the hands-free liftgate feature. So, this is what our trailer hitch looks like installed on our vehicle, and we're ready to use it. Now, thankfully, everything is actually hidden behind the bumper here. And on this particular model, we have the center knockout panel, which we can easily reinstall when we're not using our hitch for a completely hidden installation, as you can see here. more

We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt trailer hitch receiver.If it we're me and I was looking for a hitch to put on my Cadillac, I think the first thing to come to my mind would be how's it going to look How's it going to affect the appearance CTSs are really sharp cars, and you wouldn't want a big oil hitch hanging down below here, taken up a bunch of space and being really noticeable, at least in my opinion. And out of the hitches available, I will say I think this one definitely looks the best.Reall, the only thing you're going to be able to see is this receiver tube opening here. And it's going to set up relatively close to the bottom of your bumper, but still be easy to get to, to take those accessories in and out. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at trailer. Today on our 2019 Cadillac XTS, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver. So these Cadillac Tsetses look really good and so for me, if I was wanting to put a hitch on it, how the hitch would look on the back of the car would be an important thing. And to be honest with you, out of the hitches available, I think this one is going to look the sharpest.It is going to be somewhat hidden, it is a little bit visible but it doesn't take up a ton of space or really stick out. It's going to have a really nice gloss black powder coat finish, especially on a black vehicle it kind of just meshes with it. And one thing that I really liked that the other hitches don't offer is this reinforced collar here.It's not only going to provide us with a little extra strength, but I think it really kind of goes the extra mile and gives our hitch a more complete or finished look. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Cadillac XT-5, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Curt Class III custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number C13285.Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to sit behind the bumper, and the nice thing about it is, is that whenever we're not towing, we can actually take the cover and replace it so it's going to be completely concealed behind there. So we're just going to have to put two screws back in place. And then whenever we do want to tow, we can removed the cover and our receiver will be right there.It is a Class III hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and it's going to have a lot of different varieties of accessories that we can put in there. The way we're going to mount all of our accessories, the hitch pin hole here on the side, and it is going to accept a standard five eighths pin and clip. Now, these aren't included in the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com.Now because it sits so far back, you want to keep in mind any kind of clearance issues you may have with folding accessories 'cause the shank is going to have to come out and make sure we clear the rear bumper here. more

Now you can see here, this is what our hitch's going to look like when it's installed. It's going to be tucked back nicely. It's almost not even going to be noticeable. This class one hitch is going to be great for bike racks, cargo carriers, and cargo baskets.It has an inch and a quarter receiver with a half inch hitch pin hole. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Cadillac SRX - Draw-Tite- Video
Narrator: Today on our 2010 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class Three Custom Fit Trailer Receiver, part number 75682.So, here's where our hitch looks like fully installed. It is going to tuck up behind our bumper, but we are going to have a slight bit of the cross tube sticking out right here. Now it is a Class Three, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and as you can see, it has a rainforest collar, not only getting added strength, but a nice clean, finished look.Our hitch is going to use a standard five ace pinning clip, and that's that's going to be the hole towards the front of the vehicle. The pinning clip aren't included, but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3. Now, the second hole towards the back of our receiver, that's going to be for the J-Pin Stabilization Device. That's going to be great if any of your accessories don't have a built in anti-rattle.As far as the safety chain connections, it's going to be a plate-style welded to the bottom, and as you can see, we're not going to have any trouble getting most sized hooks on or off. more

Today on our 2017 Cadillac XT5, we'll be installing the Curt Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number C13285. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's nice and tucked up underneath our bumper cover. When we're not towing our trailer, we can actually put our panel back in place, just pop it back in, and we secure it with the two screws on the bottom. That way our vehicle still has a nice clean look, and it conceals our hitch. The hitch features a nice high gloss, black powder coat finish on its entire construction. This will give it a nice appearance underneath our vehicle, when we don't have our panel in place. We have our industry standard 5/8 of an inch diameter hitch pin hole here to secure our ball mount, or whatever other hitch mount accessory that we may have. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Cadillac XT5 76022- Video
Today in our 2017 Cadillac XT5 we'll be installing a Draw-Tite Max-Frame Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76022. All right here's what our hitch looks like installed, as you can see it's nice and tucked up underneath our back bumper cover here. When it's not in use and we want to have a nice clean look on our vehicle, we can just slide our door back into position and re-secure it with the two screws on the bottom. When we want to tow you just remove it and have access to our hitch. This hitch features a 675 pound max tongue weight rating, and a 4500 pound max gross trailer weight rating. It does support the use of weight distribution, but those numbers stay the same, so just keep that in mind. We have these nice, easy use safety chain loops here, nice large opening, as you can see I can stick four fingers through and have plenty of room to move them in and out. If you have some large diameter safety chain loops, you won't have to worry about them getting stuck in there, you'll be able to use them easily with your trailer. more

Today on our 2012 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13002. Here's what this hitch is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it's pretty close to flush with the rear bumper here, so that maintains a nice clean look, but it doesn't stick out too far to where you may knock your knee on it. It's got the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. It's got the nice looking reinforcement collar that helps it look nice and durable. Here we've got these loop style safety chain connection points which is going to give us plenty of room in order to get whatever type of safety chains we may have connected. Overall, this hitch is pretty well hidden as the cross tube, you can just kind of see it right here, but because it's tucked up behind the bumper like that, it maintains a really clean look to where it doesn't look like it's out of place. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2004 Cadillac DeVille - Curt- Video
Today on our 2004 Cadillac De Ville we'll be taking a look at and installing the CURT Custom Fit Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C12058. Here's what our class 2 hitch is going to look like once it's installed. You can see it's going to have a nice sleek design, tucked away back behind the bumper, with only the receiver tube and the chain tie downs visible from the backside. Now, the class 2 hitch is going to offer a fully welded design with a black power coat finish to help prevent any kind of rust and corrosion. It's going to have a half inch pinhole going straight through, as well as the ring style, or rolled steel style, chain tie downs on either side, and inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening with the accent piece and extra strengthening piece here on the end that adds a little bit more style. This hitch is going to offer a 350 pound tow weight capacity, and 3500 pound towing capacity. This hitch also offers an extremely easy installation with no drilling required. Now we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements to assist you in selecting hitch accessories such as ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground it's going to be about eleven and seven-eighths inches. From the center of your hitch pin hole to the outermost part of your bumper is three and a half inches. From the top of your receiver to the ground is eighteen and three quarter inches. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Cadillac SRX - Curt C12070- Video
Today on our 2015 Cadillac SRX, we're going to review and install the Curt Class 2 1-1/4-inch receiver tube hitch, part number C12070. Now here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's got the sturdy square tube design and a fully-welded construction. It's got a really nice black powder-coated finish so it blends in well with the underbody of the vehicle, and it'll resist rust and corrosion. On the either side of our receiver tube is our chain hold-down, and going all the way through the receiver tube is our 1/2-inch pin hole. This is our class 2 1-1/4-inch by 1-1/4-inch receiver tube, and it's capable of up to 350 pounds of tongue weight and a 3,500-pound tow capacity. To start off to install, we need to get inside the trunk area, we need to remove the floor coverings to get down to the bare metal by your spare tire. Today, in this 2004 Cadillac SRX, were going to install part number C13050 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on the vehicle. Now, were getting some measurements to help out in selecting some accessories such as the ball mount, the bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From top receiver opening down to the ground will be about 14 inches. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of bumper will be about one inch. To start off our install, were going to go ahead lower the spare tire. Once you have the spare tire out of the way, well go ahead and disconnect the rubber exhaust hangers.
