B&W is definitely one of the brands that I highly recommend if you're looking at getting an underbed gooseneck kit. And really it comes down to the fit, finish, quality, and just overall longevity of what you're looking to do. So if you're hooking up quite a bit or you just want the best out there, the B&W is definitely my pick. And the part that I really like about a gooseneck kit like this is really when you're not towing anything, you can take this ball and stow it upside down and you can latch that in place and it's gonna hold in. Now this is also gonna work with the Ford F-350 as well. Adding base rails to the bed of your truck is a great option. If you ever plan on having a fifth wheel and being that these are ISR standard it's gonna accept a bunch of different fifth wheels. So no matter what brand you have, it should work with these rails. Now our neighbor today has chosen to get a BMW with a patriot, which is a great option especially if you have a six and a half foot bed because this is a sliding hitch. more

Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails Kit Installation - 2017 Ford F-150- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rail Kit with custom installation kit on a 2017 Ford F-150. Now this kit is gonna give you the rails for your bed which is gonna allow you to drop in your fifth wheel hitch. And something I'll point out is on a short truck like this, you are gonna want to get something that slides, that way you have clearance and the rails on this short bed truck are pretty far forward, but having the ability to hook up to your fifth wheel camper or trailer is a really nice option. So make sure you're choosing something that has that sliding ability to make sure that it can tow properly. And this rail system's really nice because if you ever need to have your truck bed usable to load it up, you can take your fifth wheel out of the rails and it's really not taking up much space. It's slightly raised, maybe just about three inches or so, but overall you still have all the use of your bed. more

Our base rails here are gonna have a nice carbide finish on it, which is gonna go nicely with another CURT hitch, just like our CrossWing that we have in here today. The brackets themselves are gonna come with all the hardware you need and are a custom fit for this specific year, make, and model. So it gives you a little bit easier of an install versus a universal kit where you'd have to sit there and really drill a bunch of holes into the frame. more

Demco Recon Underbed 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt under-bed gooseneck kit with the ability to use the demco recon for fifth wheel adapter on a 2013 F250 Super Duty. Now, it has all the same features of your normal gooseneck kit, but if you pick up the Demco Recon and plan on doing a gooseneck or a fifth wheel, you're gonna have that adapter and be able to hook up to both of them. Great part about this kit is it does actually come with the ball included so you'll be ready to use your gooseneck right away without having to pick up that recon. Now, this gooseneck kit is rated at 30000 pounds and it's got a vertical limit of 7500, so this is gonna be pretty heavy duty. So, whatever you're be pulling with your gooseneck this should hold up to it. Now, you're gonna wanna check to see what your vehicle's capable before just hooking up to anything. more

Hi there, Ford owners. Today on your 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Reese's Under-Bed Rail Kit for both 5th wheels and goosenecks. And this is what our hitch rail system looks like when it's installed. You can see here, we've got our gooseneck hole in the center as well as a puck system that's very similar to a factory set up for a 5th wheel to drop in. This is gonna be probably the best setup here if you don't have a factory setup 'cause you can easily drop in your 5th wheels without having to install like an over the bed rail kit or something like that. They just drop right down into these pucks, making it quick and easy to get those in place. more

Hey everyone, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch here on a 2019 Ford F-150. So if we come inside to the driver wheel well here, you can see we have our release handle. So this is what's gonna secure the hitch ball in the truck bed or the companion, if that's what we're gonna be using. So there's gonna be two different positions. You have the locked position, which is like so, and then if we pull it out and then rotate it slightly, that's gonna be the unlocked position. So when it's unlocked, we can remove the hitch ball, flip it around, do as we need, and then just simply lock it, whether we're towing or putting it back in the stow position, we'll just simply release it like so. more

Today on our 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty you're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite Custom Underbed Installation Kit for high rise fifth wheel trailer hitch.This is what our hitch is gonna look like when it's installed. What this is good for, is it's gonna give us total bed access. We're gonna have a 30,000 pound gross trailer weight, which is the trailer plus load included, and a 7,500 vertical load limit. I do recommend checking the owner's manual of your vehicle to make sure your vehicle can withstand that amount of weight. You're gonna go with the lowest number between the vehicle and the hitch.Our center section, our cross members that are gonna spread from frame rail to from rail, and our frame brackets are all gonna have nice powder coat finish, that's gonna resist any rust or corrosion. Let's start with our frame brackets, they're gonna mount to the outside of our frame rails, and they're gonna use existing holes already in the frame. more

These are going to allow us to have a fifth wheel on that back of our truck and tow a fifth wheel trailer safely down the road. Our rails are going to work with most industry standard fifth wheel hitches, like BWM, Curt and many others. Our rails are going to have a power coat finish, deep carbide black, so it's its going to hide those scratches and dirt really well, but it's also going to prevent any kind of rust or corrosion from happening on the rails. Whenever we're not towing, we can pull our fifth wheel hitch out and we can use the bed and have full bed access. Husky Custom Base Rail Kit Installation - 2006 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on this 2006 Ford F350 Super Duty, we're going to review and install a Husky custom base rail and installation kit, part number HQ31407-686.Now, a rail kit can be used with a variety of different fifth-wheel hitches out there, such as this Demco product, here. Also work with with Draw-Tite, Reese, Husky, and other brands that are out there. You can see that it's a very conventional setup, got the same two rails as you used to with all the other fifth-wheel rail kits that are out there.Now, this kit is unique that it uses a four-bolt system, instead of the conventional ten-bolt system you see on a lot of other rail kits that are out there.Now, rails do sit as flush as possible to the truck, and still allows you to have full-bed access. However, when you load your truck up, you may have to consider the rails themselves, and also the bolt heads sticking up.All right, we seen what's on top of the bed, let's go beneath the truck, and take a look how the other of the kit is this nice one-piece unit right here, that attaches to the frame of truck, and uses existing bolt holes in the frame. So the only real drilling you have to do is go through the bed of the truck, see, and that's pretty easy, compared to drilling through the frame.One cool little detail about our hitch is actually part of fastening itself. This nut right here clamps into place onto the frame bracket, and makes it real easy to help us tighten down, thread the bolt, get it started and tighten it down. more

This is going to allow us to put a fifth wheel into the bed of our truck and hook up to our fifth wheel trailer. As you can see here, our rails are going to fit most industry standard fifth wheels like we have here with our Reese. As you can see, our rails are going to stick up about an inch from the bottom of the truck bed, but when we take out fifth wheel out we'll have full bed access to store everything we need. If your Ford doesn't have the factory prep package in it, this is going to be a great way to get a fifth wheel in the bed of your truck. With Ford moving to aluminum truck beds, having two dissimilar metals can cause corrosion. more

They're gonna mount directly into existing holes in the frame, so we're not gonna do any drilling. They're gonna be constructed with the same steel that your rails are. Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails Installation - 2014 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford F-250 Super Duty we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Reese Quick Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for fifth wheel trailer hitches. Part number is RP50026-58. Here's what our rail kit's going to look like when we finally get it installed. As you can see we're going to have the two heavy duty black powder coated steel rails mounted right to the bed of the truck. Each one secured down with five bolts. As far as modifications to the frame go, there are none. We're going to use existing holes here to pass through our bolts and then just a single nut on the backside, nice and straight forward installation. Another thing I like, you're going to notice that the tabs come outward, that means the end bolts that typically are right above the frame and almost impossible to torque down properly are going to be very readily available and easy to torque down. more

Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Review - 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford F350 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number RP30126. Here's what our base rails look like fully installed. They're going to allow us to tow with a fifth wheel trailer hitch and if we want, when we're not towing we're going to be able to remove this and still have full access to our bed. Once we have our fifth wheel removed, they even provide us with little caps to put into our puck system. That way we don't have to worry about any dirt and debris or even water getting down in there and making any rust and any problems with our fifth wheel getting in. As you can see, with the caps on and our fifth wheel out of the way, we still have full bed access and we can inaudible 00:47 put anything in or get anything out of our bed that we may need. Now, the way we're going to have full bed access and not have any rails inside our bed is because they're going to mount under the bed and since it's vehicle specific, it is going to take a little bit less time to install and require a little bit less drilling that universal kits. This is a great alternative if your truck doesn't already come equipped with the factory prep package because not only is it going to allow you to tow with a fifth wheel hitch, but it's also going to keep your bed nice and clean and give it that factory look. more

Reese Quick-Install Custom 5th Wheel Base Rails Installation - 2012 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2012 F-250 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Reese quick install custom base rails and outboard installation kit for fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number RP56016-53. So here's what our base rails look like once their fully installed, and what's going to make these great is they are slightly wider than universal fit base rails for fifth wheels. This is going to help us out on installation because since they are wider, they're going to meet up with our frame brackets that are going to be on the outside. So we're going to have very minimal time that we're going to have to actually get under the bed. Now if we come to the outside here, these bolts sticking down are going to meet up with our frame plate which is going to be on the outside of our frame so it's going to make it a lot easier to install than some of the universal kits where you might have to go underneath the bed on the inside of the frame. Now the purpose of these rails are so that you can mount a fifth wheel into the bed of your truck, and it is compatible with several different brands of fifth wheels. So here we have our Reese fifth wheel, and this is going to be part number RP30866, and as you can see it fits nicely into our base rails, giving us the ability to tow with a fifth wheel now. Now the way this is going to mount is we're going to take our pins and we're going to slide them through. more

Demco Hijacker Base Rails Kit Installation - 2005 Ford F-250- Video
Today, on our 2005 Ford F-250, we'll be installing the Demco Hijacker Premiere Series above-bed base rails and custom installation kit for fifth wheel hitches, part number DM8552002-71. These rails are an industry standard design, which will allow us to use gooseneck adapters, fifth wheels, or any other accessory witch attaches to above-bed rail systems like this. It's a very simple installation with minimal drilling required for the install. We only have to drill four holes in our bed of our truck, enlarge one hole on the driver side and drill one hole on the passenger side. These rails feature a nice textured powder coat finish, which will resist corrosion and offer us many years of rust-free service. Now, unlike a lot of the other fifth wheel rail kits on the market, this utilizes an outside the frame mounting technique so it's easy in order to get your bolts to torque. A lot of them are on the inside of the frame and they're drop-down carriage bolts and sometimes they're above the fuel tank, so getting in there with a torque wrench can be difficult. Okay. We've gone ahead and made a straight line across the back of our bed for our rear rail. more

Here's what our Demco underbed system looks like now that it's been installed. Unlike other traditional 5th wheel rails that sit on top of our bed, this doesn't take up any bed space at all. Now, when our 5th wheel head is not installed, in order to keep debris out of our attachment points inside of our rail, we have these included plugs. Just push it down inside. It sits nice in there. more
