And here we can see our old filter next to our new filter and our new filter doesn't have anything in it. And you'll also notice they both do have the labels on the bottom for the direction of airflow. Now, one of the things that you'll also notice here is that our factory filter here has significantly less pleats in it than what our new filter does. And it's also going to make sure that any larger pieces get caught before it goes through our system, potentially causing either noise with the blower motor or causing a lot of back pressure when it gets through the system, causing damage down the road. And I know we've all been in that situation where we'll be at the service center, maybe getting an oil change or another service done on our truck. Somebody comes up and tells us, "Hey, your cabin filter's dirty, we can replace it for you." Well, I know a lot of us are kind of on edge about that because usually when you go to service centers, somebody's always trying to sell you something else. But, not to mention, "You really don't need to pay anybody to do it."It's an extremely easy process that you can do on your own. And the manufacturer is going to recommend that you at least check it, if not change it, every 12 to 15,000 miles, but you do want to double-check your Tundra's owner's manual for a specific time. more

Now what this is going to do is this is going to clean all the air coming from the outside, clean it all so that the air inside our Subaru's going to be nice and fresh. Now over time, if we don't check our cabin filter, a lot of the debris can build up inside the filter and if it gets past the filter it can do a lot of damage to our heating and AC system. It's really important to at least check your filter every 12,000 miles or about once a year.We're going to start out on the passenger side. We'll open up our glove box and if we move to the very outside edge on the passenger side, we'll find a shock dampener that keeps the glove box from moving down too fast or too hard.These will be really easy when you just come to the inside and kind of push the rod going towards the outside. It'll pop right off, and just push it out of the way. We're going to grab the edges of our glove box here on the side. more
