Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller Installation - 2016 Ram 1500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Tow-Pro Liberty proportional brake controller on a 2016 Ram 1500. Now, this is what our brake controller looks like when it's installed and you can see, it takes up very little real estate. And in fact, we're able to find a nice little pocket here and it's gonna be super accessible for the driver to actually adjust and manually override on the brakes. And that's gonna be really great because normal brake controllers kinda sit down here where your knees are, and generally you just kinda bump them when getting in and then sometimes reaching down to actually do the manual override can kinda be cumbersome. And that's the great part about the Redarc is small space but also very easy to use. more

So when it comes to these 4runners, awesome vehicles, you know, they're super capable SUVs. And people use them to do a lot of different things which does include pulling some, some relatively large trailers around, you know, whether it's a camper you know, utility trailer, something like that. And if those trailers have brakes, you're gonna need a way to apply the trailer brakes that way, you know you're not just relying on your 4runner to do all the stopping, you know, it'll help bring you to a, a more complete and predictable safe stop. Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2015 GMC Yukon- Video
Hi there, GMC owners. Today on your 2015 GMC Yukon, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install REDARC's Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller. To assist us with this installation, we're also going to be using the REDARC plug-in play cable that is custom fit for our Yukon and that will plug directly into the factory connector down below. This is this designed for trailers up to three axles. So you get more output on this one than you do with like the Tow Pro Liberty. So the Prodigy3 is gonna have a little bit more options than some of your standards but the standard type of features with the brake controller is, we're gonna have our adjustments. So it goes all the way up to 12.8, but that's for your bigger stuff and then you can go down as far as you want. You can click okay right here. And then we have a little slider which is on the bottom, a little bit different than before but you're gonna have that with all your other direct controllers, your manual override. more

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT Echo under-dash brake controller on our 2021 Ford Bronco. This is not your typical brake controller. One, we have no neat knockers down here which is kind of annoying but also all you have to do is plug it in and hide it underneath the dash. So you don't have to look at it either. The one thing we will need to have a phone or an iPad 4 is to set up the profiles initially. We have a lighter trailer, we really don't need a whole lot of breaking to happen on the trailer. more

So whenever you're going at faster speeds, it's going to apply the brakes a little bit more. It's gonna match what you're putting on your pedal. Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2019 Honda Passport- Video
Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Primus IQ Proportional Brake Controller on a 2019 Honda Passport. Now this is a proportional brake controller and what that means is, as you slow down with your vehicle, the trailer's gonna do the same and once you fine tune it with your gain, you should be able to get those brakes to work well with the vehicle, making a smooth operation. Now what's nice too, is you can actually have proportioning with your manual slide. So if the trailer's starting to get a little bit swirly and swaying around, you can lightly put the brakes on and then if you really need them to slow down you can push a little bit more and you're gonna get that actual full level of gain. So and if you ever need more, you can just simply turn your knob and you can see that the gain actually changes there. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over the Curt Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller here on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. So the Curt Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller is one of my favorite options on the market. And the reason for this is simple. With most traditional brake controllers, you have to drill into the bottom of your dash and then you have this bulky controller that you're gonna hit your knees on getting in and out of your truck here. So the trailer profile screen, it's a nice way to save the settings for different trailers. So if you only have one trailer, this feature might not be as useful for you as some of the others with multiple trailers. But basically how this works is we're gonna select the profile 1 through 5 and then we're gonna adjust the settings for that particular trailer. So we've got a little travel trailer hooked up now. I'd go ahead and select profile 1, then adjust the settings for this specific trailer. more

Ola neighbors, It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the vehicle specific wiring harness piggyback for the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite, on a 2022 Ford F-250. Having vehicles specific harness is going to allow you to plug in directly to your factory tow plug on your vehicle. And this does come with the kit and you can splice this in, but I'm a big fan of the plug and play aspect of having a vehicle specific harness, and that way you know it's gonna be hooked up correctly and you're not having to go back and troubleshoot. As opposed to our included harness, the vehicle specific one actually has a very nice OEM plug and a nice sheathing that goes around it, and that's gonna protect these wires from any chafing that might make contact in the dash. Now, I'm gonna show you how that harness makes this installation nice and easy. The first part of the installation is really planning it out how you want it to look and how it's going to sit on your dash, so, here we have the trailer brake kinda spacer here, and that's gonna be nice, it gives it a good look on the knob. more

And we're gonna be installing that in conjunction with the etrailer.com universal brake controller install kit. So these Tellurides are getting more and more popular. We keep seeing them more frequently here in the shop and people are starting to realize, these are pretty capable of SUVs. So people are really kind of starting to use them to do a little bit of everything. more

Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2020 Ford F-150- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at trailer, and today we're gonna take a look and install the Tekonsha P3 Prodigy brake controller on a 2020 Ford F-150. Now this vehicle does have the wiring harness, so you can get the pigtail specifically for this vehicle to make install easier. So this is a proportioning brake controller, meaning the amount that you apply to your vehicle will translate to the vehicle. So it's not an on and off switch, and that's gonna allow for smoother braking in your trailer and vehicle. Now, when mounting this, it's not necessary to be at any specific level, it has 360 degrees to be able to adjust to that. It's important though, that you have it facing straight in the path of travel. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electronic Brake Controller on a 2020 Ford F-150. This wiring adapter makes the installing the brake controller on this vehicle specifically so much easier. It truly makes it plug and play without having to do any wire splicing. Myself, I am not a wiring expert so anytime I can opt for an easier factory harness plug in, tends to be a lot less headaches and a lot less troubleshooting. So the factory plug is behind there. more

Hayes Syncronizer Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2016 Nissan NV 3500- Video

Today on our 2016 Nissan NV 3500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Hayes Synchronizer Trailer Brake Controller, and we're going to be installing this in conjunction with the upright controller adaptor plug. So when it comes to these NV3500s you know, these are really capable vehicles. A lot of people, you know, use it for work and to carry around a lot of things. And so chances are pretty good that's going to include, you know, pulling a pretty large trailer with brakes on it. And if that's the case, you're going to need a way to apply those trailer brakes and help slow it down. more

Hi there Jeep owners. Today in your 2018 JL Wrangler Unlimited, We're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install REDARC's Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller. To help us with this installation, we'll be using kit ETBC7 here at etrailer. The REDARC Elite is a premium brake controller that is hidden behind your dash. Unlike traditional brake controllers that have a large unit that sticks out that you're likely to hit your knees on all the time every time you get in and out this one's going to be completely hidden with just a small button on the dash that allows you to control the output as well as the manual application of the brakes, by pushing in on the button. Hey, everyone. Connor here today at etrailer.com. We're gonna be taking a look at Redarc's Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller here for our 2018 Toyota 4Runner. So our Redarc Brake Controller here is gonna be a proportional brake controller. And, essentially, what this means is it's gonna apply a force to our trailer brakes proportional to what it is in the vehicle here. So, for example, say we just need to come to a light stop, we're just gonna be barely pressing on the brake pedal in our vehicle here. more

Hi there Chevrolet owners, and your 2021 Chevrolet Colorado. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install redarc's trailer brake controller. This brake controller has all the features of a premium proportional brake controller but doesn't have the giant mess underneath your dash with your typical brake controllers. You've got a large control module box and everything's inside that box there and you mount it here on the lower parts of your dash. And I'm a pretty tall guy. When I'm getting in, in and out of the vehicle my knees often bump on those. more

Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha P3 Prodigy Trailer Brake Controller, here on a 2018 Honda Pilot. So this is what our brake controller looks like installed on our vehicle here. Now, we do have some freedom in regards to mounting, but the best place and I would say the vast majority of the time we're gonna be mounting them about where our right knee would be. So at the seat in a normal position at my foot on the brake and the gas here, as you can see, I'm about six foot. I still have plenty of room here with my leg. more
