Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and be showing you how to install the Konig K-Summit XL Snow Tire Chains on our 2022 Ford Maverick. And these are gonna be on tire size 225/65R17 and per the Owner's Manual on the rear tires. One of the other things Ford mentions in their Owner's Manual when looking at snow tire chains is the limited wheel well clearance, both in the wheel well here around the tire, but also with some of our suspension components in the back. And in some cases, it can make tire chains incompatible because if we have too big of a link or pieces that wrap around the back of our tire, they might interfere with those suspension components or with the wheel well, causing problems with our vehicle that we don't want. Where these are unique is the fact that all of the chain sits on the tire tread and nothing sits behind the tire. more

Essentially, these are made out of hardened steel that's gonna give you corrosion resistance and additional bite into the ice and snow for additional traction. Starting with the link on these guys, they're a groove that are gonna be in inside of each one of your square links. Pewag brands that as the star wave and essentially what it does, it allows you to get a little bit of space to bite into ice when you're going down the road. They're configured in the ladder pattern. What the ladder pattern usually is gonna work for is going down straightaway, straight shots, not so much for windy roads, but nonetheless you'll still have a lot of traction more so than just the wheel on its own. They're made, the links on the chain themselves are made of a nickel-manganese-steel alloy that's hardened and it's also gonna bite into ice better and prevent corrosion. more

How's it going This is Ed here, and we're taking a look at the Titan Chains Cable Chains on the 2022 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. All right, so let's take a look at our tire chains. Essentially what these guys are, anytime you take it out your packaging, if you want to lay it out on your garage floor or your driveway, definitely doing it ahead of time of being on the side of a road, you want to be mindful as far as the direction of the links. And what I like to do is, when I lay it out in general, I'll take a look at how it connects. 'Cause with this particular chain, you're gonna actually have to lay on your belly to make that connection, unless you have really long arms. I mean like, LeBron arms. more
