Thule Roof Box Review - 2019 Toyota RAV4

Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Thule Force XT Sport Rooftop Cargo Box, here on our 2019, Toyota RAV4. So this can be a very decent way of getting some of your gear out of your vehicle and on the top of your roof, that way starts freeing up a lot of leg room, a lot more storage item for stuff you don't really primarily want on the outside of your vehicle. This can be excellent for stuff like ski's, a little bit of coolers in there, duffle bags for sure, whatever really accessories we wanna get on here, we definitely can. Now, with 11 cu ft, still a pretty decent size here, and I like how it's not taking up too much room though with our Toyota, Rav4. So, even though it is a little high-profile, sits up a little tall, it's not over, you know, dominating our entire RAV4, here. Definitely doesn't look out of place, which I do like to see. more

Hey, everybody welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Yakima GrandTour Lo rooftop box here on our 2017 Toyota RAV4. So this is gonna be an excellent way of helping you manage a little bit of your cargo that you wanna bring with you, and primarily, could you find yourself skiing and snowboarding, this just might be the rooftop box for you. Why is that Well, we do have some pretty nice features here with 15 cubic feet and 165 pounds of weight capacity, and boasting enough room for up to 215 centimeter long skis and snowboards, this is gonna be a great little rooftop box for you. One thing I like about it too, pretty low profile, if you're comparing this to something like the regular GrandTour you can see, not as much room going towards the top, and really maximizing the length we have here today. So, with a 91 inch long exterior length here you can see, quite large. However, it does look pretty good here on the RAV4. more

That is going to make more space inside for your passengers, more elbow and leg room. And most importantly, you don't have to sacrifice leaving some of your cargo behind because you can't fit it in here. This box is going to have a durable ABS plastic construction. It's really rigid. Instead of having to cram it in the back seat, where your passengers might be and taking up their elbow and leg room, you can get them in the box, protected from the rain and the sun, and then you can unload it when you get to your destination. Now, the box has a really nice aerodynamic shape. more

Just imagine if you're going on vacation and you pull over to the side of the highway, your driver's side is going to be next to vehicles going about 65 miles an hour, so having it open up on the passenger side is for your guys' safety, and that's definitely something I am very happy about. So just so you guys know, I did get the skis in here. Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Rocket Box Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box, part number Y07193.The Yakima Rocket Box is great for carrying both skis and snowboards, as well as luggage or sporting goods equipment, and it's slim enough that you can actually fit other accessories on the other side of it, as you see here, even with a factory style roof rack. This can open from either side, so you can actually adjust it to the passenger or driver side as needed. It comes with two sets of keys to open it up and once you have it in the unlocked position, the key cannot be removed. You simply push the red button and it pops open.Looking inside the box, you can see we have about 11 cubic feet of space to work with. I would like to point out that the clamps that attach it to your roof rack are adjustable back and forth as you need to adjust this back and forth, say to get clearance with your rear hatch.Clearance is not going to be an issue for this particular vehicle. As you can see there's plenty of space between our box and the hatch. And as far as the carrying capacity is concerned, it's going to be 11 cubic feet of storage, but I would go by the weight recommendations of both your vehicle and the roof rack you're using before you install anything in there. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the Rocket Box, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. more

Thule Roof Box Review - 2015 Volkswagen Golf

Today in our 2015 Volkswagon Golf, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Force large rooftop cargo box, part number TH628. We already have it on top of our vehicle, however when you do lift this up, you want at least a second set of hands to help you put it into place, and you want to make sure that the quick-grip clamps are lined up with your crossbars. Since this cargo box can open from either side, you pretty much want to put it more towards the areas where you're going to be loading in things the most. For this instance, we have it closer to the passenger's side, but you can also put it more towards the driver's side. Or, you can center it up if you want to. With the box lined up pretty much where we want it to be, we'll go and get it open. First, you're going to need a key to get this to open. Turn it to the unlock position. more
