P3 Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500
Question:
My old trailer brake now only works manually and no longer with the brake pedal. It is an old unit and think its time to upgrade. Will the tekonsha 90195 work with my 2001 dodge ram 2500 dodge diesel pick up? Is there any other wiring needed to be included with this controller? It appears the reviews are good on this brake controller and i am willing to give it a shot if it is compatible with my truck. Thank you for the help, sincerely,

Yes, the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195 that you referenced can be installed in your 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. All you would need is the correct install harness to plug into the port under your dash. For that you would want part # 3020-P.
I attached an install video for the install harness for you to check out as well.
In case you wanted to troubleshoot your old brake controller check out the FAQ article I attached on troubleshooting brake controllers.
