Troubleshooting Right Stop/Turn Circuit Not Functioning on Trailer Wiring
Question:
I read the post about this same problem but I have ensured the ground is perfect and its corrosion free and it is bare metal. I still cant get the right turn and brake to work. The light is good I tested it on the left side and it worked perfect. I tested the right turn with a test light and works as should but when I connect it to the light I cant get a reading on the test light.

What you will need to do is use the circuit tester you have like part # PTW2993 and test the right stop/turn circuit from the trailer connector all the way back to the light assembly. There has to be a problem on this circuit between either the connector, the light assembly, or anywhere in between.
I would recommend you test it right after the trailer's connector and then work your way down the circuit towards the assembly testing it periodically to see if you can narrow down where the circuit opening. This will help you narrow down where the problem is so that you can address it.
If there is voltage leading all the way up to the assembly and it is still not working then the problem has to be that the ground. What you could do is use a jumper wire to go from the ground of the assembly to a known functioning ground to see if that makes the light come one. If so, then you know the problem actually is the ground and needs to be addressed.
I attached a couple FAQ articles to the right that should be helpful as well.
