Troubleshooting Trailer Blinkers/Stop Lights that Don't Work after Install of Harness # 118521
Question:
I purchased the tow ready trailer wiring kit and just installed it. Very easy and simple to install but upon testing the turn signals on my 2012 Honda Odyssey ex-l work fine but the ones on the flat four tester do not. Brake lights dont not work either but the running lights work fine. Im driving out from Bracey Va on Monday the 24th enroute to little rock AR and Im picking up a trailer to bring back.. I really need this fixed within the week and was curious if you had any ideas or previous issues similar to this. If this sounds confusing basically all the lights on my van work properly but on the trailer thru my new harness the only lights that work are my running lights. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

It sounds like the issue you are having is fuse related. We had a customer with a 2012 Odyssey just like yours leave us a comment saying that they had to use a different fuse location than what the installation instructions indicate to get all of the functions of the harness to work.
They said that the 2012 model required the 7.5A fuse to be placed in the small trailer slot vs the trailer back slot as indicated in the instructions. Another customer said they had to put a fuse in the trailer hazard fuse slot to get the functions to work.
