Class III Hitch for 2004 Buick Rendezvous

Were trying to figure something out. we have a 04 buick rendevous. We are looking to buy a trailer we have came across one that is a class 3 but the load capasity is 5000 instead of 3500 does that make a big difference. Is it not usable?

The important thing to consider is that any towing system is only as strong as its lowest rated component. According to my research, the 2004 Rendezvous is rated to tow 2000 pounds, 3500 pounds for the Ultra model. If the hitch with the 5000 pound capacity is indeed the correct one for your vehicle it can certainly be used, but the towing capacity of your Buick will be limited to the 2000 or 3500 lb manufacturer stated towing capacity.
