Replacement 4-Inch LED-Type Stop/Turn/Tail Lights to Replace Peterson PM425 Incandescent Lights
Question:
I currently have Peterson incandescent stop/turn/tail lights on my kennel trailer, and want to change over to LED. My Peterson lights are PM 425, they are stainless, probably 2005 vintage. Because these are recessed lights, with a 4inch hole, I would like to find a LED light that will replace the lens in the original lights. The original stainless light casing looks brand new, and I would prefer to just replace the light/lens with a LED.

The Peterson Red Trailer Stop/Turn/Tail Light you referenced, part # PM425-3, takes an 1157-type bulb. We do offer replacrment LED-type bulbs in the 1157-type.
For example, Putco offers their red 360-degree-radiation 1157 bulbs as a set of two, part # P231157R360.
For a lower-cost option we also offer the CIPA EVO Formance 1157 Round White LED Bulb Set, part # CM93236.
LED lights will substantially reduce the power drawn by your trailer - they use about 1/10th that of standard incandescent bulbs - and they will also deliver brighter output that will not tend to change color as a standard bulb typically does over its working lifetime.
You can search our site using the term "1157 led bulb" to see more options.
