5th Wheel Trailer Hitch and Install Kit for a 2013 Ram 2500 Short Bed
Question:
What do you recommend for a 2013 ram 2500 with a short bed

Expert Reply:
For a short bed truck like your 2013 Ram 2500 I recommend a slider hitch that has 12 inches of travel so you will be able to make tighter turns without hitting the truck cab and trailer together.
For a 16K hitch I recommend the Curt Q16, # C16521. It offers a secure dual jaw, 360 degree cushioned head for easy hook up and a smooth ride, and the slider base offers 12 inches of travel.
For a 20K hitch we have the Curt A20, # C16541. It has the same features as the Q16 but with a higher capacity. We also have the Reese 20K hitch # RP30083. It doesn't have a cushioned 360 degree head but it does have a more secure single hook jaw.
And for a 24K capacity hitch we have the Curt Q24, # C16546. It has the same features as the Q16 and Q20 but with a higher capacity than both.
For installation kits we have Curt custom kit # C16430-204. I have linked a video that shows how the Curt kit installs and links to the instructions for both.
