Installing a Tekonsha Trailer Brake Controller on a 2014 Ram 1500
Question:
I bought a brake controller and harness from Napa Auto the part # of controller is 89747 and the harness is 89738 and I need help! Can I install this on my truck and if so PLEASE explain how I install it.

I take it NAPA isn't sure so I am glad you came to us. It looks like the controller you bought is either the original Prodigy or the P2, # 90885. But the wiring harness does not look like the correct one. You need # 3023-P.
Ram started a new electrical system they call the PowerNet which is a multiplex system. It is more complicated than what came before it so a special wiring harness had to be developed.
