7-Way Trailer Socket for 2012 Toyota Tundra with Factory Tow Package

Question:

Good Morning, This product appears to be identical to the original part that came standard on my Toyota Tundra 2012, 5.7l with tow pkg. Your site, however, does not recommend this for my vehicle. My connector does not have a part number on it but it does have Pollak stamped on the back the front cover is broken off The only difference I see is that the mounting bracket will need to be altered to attach to the existing holes. If this will work for me, please let me know so that I may order it. Thanks.

The part you referenced, Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket with Mounting Bracket # HM40975, accepts a standard round U.S. Car connector which is the type supplied on the 2012 Tundra with factory tow package. Please see the linked photo showing the rear side of this item.
As long as your truck has the round connector to mate with this socket it will serve as a suitable
replacement.

If it does not have a round U.S. Car connector, but instead has two small square and rectangular connectors, then you will use part # HM11143395.
