Adapting Reese Revolution Pin Box and PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch  

Question:

when i purchased my 2011 Jayco 26/5 light 5th wheel the dealer cut the wedge off the pin box but left the pate on so i could hitch to fit my standard BandW hitch i have now purchased a pull rite supereglide hitch what do i need to be able to couple them to gether right now it will not lock using a universal capture plate that came with the hitch

Generally speaking, it is not recommended to use a Revolution or Sidewinder pin box with any type of sliding 5th wheel hitch. The risk is that these two different pivot points could result in loss of control of the trailer and/or damage to the truck or trailer.

I cannot be sure of exactly what effects your dealer's alternations will have, but we do offer a 5th wheel wedge designed specifically for use with PullRite hitches, part # SWW-09. This custom-fit wedge will prevent the king pin from pivoting at the 5th wheel jaws.
