Solution for Land Rover LR4 that wont Recognize Trailer with LED Taillights
Question:
My 2010 Land Rover LR4 does not detect my utitlity trailer which has LED Lights. Someone recommended Valley Towing 39010 adapter to solve the problem. Does this make sense? Does this device draw enough current such that the vehicle will detect when the trailer is connected? Would I be better off just soldering a 12 ohm high wattage resistor into my trailer wiring? Thanks,

We have a similar product as the one you referenced, part # C35FR. This product works on most German vehicles that have a hard time detecting trailers with LED taillights. I would normally recommend this for a situation like yours. But we have had feedback with other Land Rover owners who have reported that this product did not work with their trailer with LED taillights.
The best recommendation I could make for you would be to replace the LED taillights of your trailer with incandescent bulbs. I attached a link to a page that has all of the incandescent trailer lights we carry.
