On a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu with adjustable pedals,do I need to install lighting diodoes to prevent feedback to invisibrake while not being towed

Technically no, you should not need diodes, though it will depend on the wiring harness you are using. Many wiring harnesses have built-in diodes.
If you are using a TrailerMate wiring harness you may need to install additional diodes. We have had trouble with their built-in diodes giving out.
If you are using a Bulb and Socket Set for Tail Light Wiring Kits like # RM-155-2, or a magnetic tow lights like # TL21RK, you won't have to worry about diodes because there won't be any feedback with these wiring kits.
Some wiring harnesses, like the Hopkins harnesses, like # 43105, have built in converters that prevent feedback.
