How to Install an Aftermarket Brake Controller in a 2014 Chevy Silverado with Integrated Controller

I have a 2014 Chevy 3500 4x4 and it came with a factory in-dash brake controller. I need to install a hydraulic/electric controller such as a . How do I accomplish this? Can both controllers run together or do I need to somehow disconnect the factory controller, and how?

Expert Reply:
You will have to uninstall the factory integrated brake controller of your 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500 before you can install the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195 that you referenced. This controller is designed to work on electric brakes and electric over hydraulic brakes. To see exactly how to do this check out the FAQ article I attached to the right that details the process.
