Will Air Springs Work With Fifth Wheel Installation On 2012 Toyota Tundra

why cant airbags be installed on Tundras with 5th wheel pitches

I have attached a photo that shows how the brackets for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part # F2445, are installed. Your 2012 Toyota Tundra would be similar to the 2013 Tundra in the photo, so you can get an idea of how the brackets look when installed.

I spoke with my contact at Firestone and they told me that you can install the # F2445, while a fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch is installed. The installation instructions are attached and you can take a look at them to see if your fifth wheel brackets interfere with the location the air springs would use.

I also spoke with my contact at Air Lift and they told me that their Air Lift Vehicle Suspension, part # AL88299, will not work with a fifth wheel installation on your Tundra due to the brackets for the fifth wheel hitch. I have the instructions attached and you can check them out to see where the # AL88299 is installed.
