Exhaust Makes Contact with Trailer Hitch and Makes A Lot of Noise
Question:
The video for the following answer appears to be missing. I recently purchased this hitch and had it installed professionally and am hearing a loud knock-like noise in the rear passenger side when running over bumps in the road. I think the htich may be contacting the muffler / exhaust. c11067

It is very possible that some part of the exhaust is making contact with your newly installed trailer hitch. I have included a link to the right to a help article that explains several different ways that you could fix this problem. Most of them you can do at home. And if all else fails a muffler shop could take care of the issue.
