Using Cargo Carrier Off-Road on an ATV
Question:
I don't see any carriers for use on an ATV. II saw some folding carriers say not for off road use but I only carry wood, power saw, salt blocks, etc and not on very rough terrain. My Can-Am ATV has a two inch receiver. Just wondered why there is no mention of the unit being used with an atv or utv.

I would not recommend using any folding carrier on an ATV. The folding portion of the rack is the weak point of the rack from an engineering standpoint. It's not an issue when driving on pavement, but hitting bumps and ruts at full speed while the carrier is loaded could cause the carrier to fail.
I see no reason why you couldn't use a non-folding carrier like the Pro Series # 63153. The carrier has a non-folding shank which would be more rigid and would work better off road.
